Finding the Light: A Klassic Komedy

Okay, I wrote this when I was eight and nine, and went back through and re-edited it. It is utterly stupid, but somewhat funny. Say anything you want about it; it's all comic relief.
In fact, mock it. Make fun of it. I do; because I don't care. ^^
It's written as a play.

Act One
Part One

[Inn]
Narrator: It was a beautiful sunny day at Blackberry Field Inn where all of the fairies stayed during summer. That included the royal family and their court. The heir to the thrown, Princess Rose Mist, who preferred to be called Princess Misty, or just Misty, was outside playing with her leprechaun friends and enjoying a picnic.

Rain: Princess Misty, care for a song?

Misty: Of course! I love to sing. What about ‘Fireflies’?

Cane: Yes!

Mane and Rain: We love the song Cane made up.

All four:
Over the hills and far away,
Is where the fireflies go when it is day.
On summer nights, they come out,
While people do shout:
“Fireflies, Fireflies!
Oh, I can’t believe my eyes!
Fireflies, Fireflies!
They are something money can’t buy!”
Everyone loves the Fireflies,
Because they’re pleasant to the eye.
They light up all the dark,
They probably lit Noah’s Ark!

Mane: Do you want any more White Rose tea, Princess Misty? It is good and hot, with lots of sugarcane and crystallized maple in it.

Cane: Or would you like some of my extraordinary gooseberry pie?

Misty: No thank you. Both are delicious, but I have had enough for now. Now, when will Moon get here with the afternoon news report?

Narrator: Moon was Misty’s best friend, a unicorn that didn’t want to learn how to heal. He was very adventurous, and had been chosen to-

Moon: {rushes into picnic area, flinging his mane} the castle has been captured, princess Misty!

Narrator: {Glares at Moon} you interrupted me!
Rain, Mane, and Cane quietly troop out.

Moon: Oh. Sorry.

Narrator: Oh well. On with the show!

Moon: The castle has been captured, Misty!

Misty: By whom?

Moon: The fierce Mulins have captu-

Narrator (pretends to read out of dictionary) Mulins-page 564---vampire-like creatures that deal with killing for teatime, black magic at dinner, and executions for dessert. They live off despair, hopelessness, death, darkness, and (DUN Dun dun) LIMA BEANS! (Gasp of horror from all cast)

Moon: (glares at Narrator) Now you INTERRUPTED me!

Narrator: So? Now we’re even!

Moon: Whatever. As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted (shoots venomous glance at Narrator) the fierce Mulins have captured the castle!

Misty: And what about-?

Moon: CloudCandy and Trifle? Misty, they

Misty: (upset) Moon, stop cutting people off! (turns back on Moon and crosses arms)

Moon: and, look, now you aren’t listening. Now you’ll never know.

Misty: (looks at moon) Know what?

Narrator: Um, they sort of didn’t make it.

Misty: (softly) Are you sure?

Moon: (sadly) Yes.

They leave the room with sorrowful expressions on their faces.

Narrator: Now of course, you are probably wondering what the Mulins were up to. They were doing just what Mulins do-Destruction! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (Clears throat, nervous glance) Erm, I’m sorry about that. I, ah, sometimes get carried away. Oh well, back to business. At the castle, the Mulins (DUN Dun dun) were plotting their next move. They had completely ransacked the castle, and turned it into a place with overturned chairs, broken tables, and the floors sticky with a mixture of mashed Lima beans and rice. Sharky, the Mulin Warlord, and his advisor and one of his best friends, Brandy, were sitting at the single dilapidated table not destroyed yet. It was extremely sticky, though.

Brandy: Heehee! Sharky, wasn’t it fun to torture those two fairies?

Sharky: Aye, Brandy. I was having the time of my laugh! They said that their names were CloudCandy and Trifle. Can you believe that? (shakes head, laughing) Imagine being called Trifle!

Brandy: (Snickers) Nay, imagine being called CloudCandy!

Sharky: And we killed them with our vast army of Mulins! (Both fall over laughing, Friggy enters)

Friggy: Look what I found, Lord Sharky. (Grins evilly, holding Tree be collar) Another little fairy!

Tree: (Pretends to fight Friggy) My name (kick) is Thunder tree (slap) the Fighter. (Punches Friggy) You (bite) cannot (hit) hurt me! (Tree continues fighting.)

Narrator: (Looks wryly at Tree) Are you going to keep showing off?

Tree: (Throws dirty look) Aw, be quiet.

Narrator: (Shrugs) Whatever. Anyways, at the Blackberry Field Inn, everyone’s realizing you’re going missing.

Tree: (Suspiciously) How would you know?

Narrator: I don’t, it’s in the script. (Tree rolls eyes.)

Part Two


(Inn, at Dusk)

Vanilla: Princess Rose Mist, it’s time for bed!

Misty: (sighs heavily) Yes Mother, I’m coming.

Vanilla: (Crosses over to Misty) I know you’re worried about Thunder Tree, but he’ll be alright. In fact, if I know him, he’s probably insulting the Mulins right now. He’ll escape don’t you worry.

Misty: I know. But I’m still worried.

Narrator: Oh, the soppiness! Oh the romance! I can’t stand it!

Misty: (both glare at Narrator) Aw, shut up!

Narrator: (in a mocking tone) Yes, oh beautiful and understanding Her Majesty Princess Rose Mist!

Vanilla: (both glare some more) Anyways, it’s time for bed. (Climb into hammocks)

Narrator: Soon it was the next morning and (mockingly) Princess Misty woke to the yap and vile breath of Tipi, her fou-fou fairy dog.

Misty: (under breath, sarcasticly) Whatever, oh Great Narrator. Hello there, Tipi! We’ve got to get to the kitchen for breakfast. However you are a good dog, and I will give you a treat if you do some tricks.

Narrator: (harrumphs) Now, if you went to the castle, it still wasn’t a pretty sight. And if possible, it was worse. Thunder Tree was tied to an overturned chair, and only his mouth wasn’t tied, so he could chatter ceaselessly.

Tree: You know when I get loose I will smash your brains to smithereens. Ha, maybe I’ll tie you up instead like you have done to me! Then I will run off and leave you to starve. Who’ll be laughing then, you or me? I might even make your own Horde pay to see you three in complete pain and humiliation. Afterwards, I, Thunder Tree, will bite you to bits! Then I’ll take a picture for my scrapbook; I will want to cherish that memory forever, eh?

Brandy: (rolls eyes impatiently) Sharky, let’s make him stop prattling.

Sharky: (nods) Good idea, cohort in misery! Let’s gag him with this piece of rope, which I found handily sitting at my side!

Tree: (Looking at Mulins and rope contemptuously) I can bite that rope in half. (Friggy walks over tying on the gag. Tree tries to bite through)

Sharky: We’ve got a tough on here. I, as Warlord over the Horde, would love to get my hands on that Princess Fairy. Friggy, go get the Princess Misty Rosie or whatever her name is.

Friggy: I would be pleased to! But I don’t know where she is.
Sharky: But I bet I know someone who does! (They all turn and look a Thunder Tree. Sharky takes of the gag.)

Brandy: (Sneering) Where is she, pathetic thingy?

Tree: Hah! Like as if I would tell you! (sticks out tongue, impudently)

Sharky: (appalled) (roaring) NOBODY STICKS THEIR TONGU EOUT AT ME AND GETS AWAY WITH IT! (slaps)

Narrator: (breaks in) We know stop, because your parents would probably not like you to see the graphic violence following. (screams and fight-sounds in the back ground)

[Amaranth]

........Remind me never to let you get bored....

[Jeni]

*blinks* Well, you're creative, I'll give you that...

[Kira]

*slams head on desk* WHY AVI?!?!? WHY?!?!?!

[Avi]

*halo above head*

[Kira]

*reaches for halo*

[Avi]

*grows fluffy lil wings*

[Kira]

NOOOO!!!!! AVI, WHAT HAVE YOU TURNED INTO?!?!?!?

I dunno. But do you know what this pointy tail and lili horns are for? *ponders* *wings and halo go poof*

*growls* I wonder why...
