I also spent the day typing this:
Ic Uri Kira Merio Nunara I come here now forever
Only then
Only when the color fades from my world/ Only when everything crumbles to dust/ Only when the shadows shrink and fade/ Only then will I give up/ Only then will I lose hope/ Only then will really Die//
Can you not see?/ I lay here, waiting for you/ Hoping Praying that you will someday return to me/ I see all my old memories/ I remember what you said to me//
Only when the color fades from my world/ Only when everything crumbles to dust/ Only when the shadows shrink and fade/ Only then will I give up/ Only then will I lose hope/ Only then will really Die//
Do you think I don't care?/ I watch for your shadow/ Your telltale signs/ A swish of a tail/ The comfort of your mind//
Only when the color fades from my world/ Only when everything crumbles to dust/ Only when the shadows shrink and fade/ Only then will I give up/ Only then will I lose hope/ Only then will really Die/ You think I don't remember, after all these long years?//
I yearn for your soft voice/ The comfort your strength gave me/ Your twinkling eyes//
Only when the color fades from my world/ Only when everything crumbles to dust/ Only when the shadows shrink and fade/ Only then will I give up/ Only then will I lose hope/ Only then will really Die//
Only when you return to me, will I truly be free again...//
The beginning
The leaves crackle underfoot as you walk through this forest, your cloak pulled tightly around your shoulders. Other than the crackle of laves underfoot, and the whisper of wind above you in the branches of the dead trees there is no sound. The ever present ever swirling mists take it all in, and let none out. You don't even know how you got here! Realizing your mouth is dry, you decide to head toward a dimly lit clearing not to far ahead. Even through the blinding fog, you think you can see the shimmer of water there. Twigs snap under your feet as you blunder blindly toward the shimmering water. When you stumble into the clearing, you realize that there is no fog here. Curiously, you look around. There is indeed a pool of crystal clear water, and some stones. Although there is no fog, your vision is blurred slightly, and all other things in this clearing seem dead...as though they never were really there at all. Looking toward the water again, you become aware of just how parched you have become. How long ago did you drink something? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? You suddenly realize that time doesn't pass here. Looking up at they sky over head, your mouth falls open, there is a quarter moon in the sky, ringed with stars...but there is also a sun, with a blinding haze around it. You blink, and it dawns on you that there is no color in the sky, it's all shades of grey. What is this place? Out of no-where, a voice speaks. /It's wonderful isn't it? Although I do admit when you see it for the first time, it is a bit scary./ You look around, startled once again at this place. "W-w-w-who are you?" You quaver. The voice was so powerful, so strangely wonderful. Squinting into the fog, you think you can pick out a shape...but your not sure. /Some one who everyone will some day meet./ The voice replies. Still shaking, you bend down toward the water, trying to ignore the voice. /Don't do that!/ The sound cut across the land, no longer sounding friendly and inviting. It was still wonderful to hear, and it drew you in. /Never touch the water./ Still on your haunches, you spin around. The figure is coming closer, and soon materializes into the shape of a lupe. Her pelt was red, deep red, almost the shade of blood. Her eyes flashed, but behind the glint there were cold and black, like the deep abyssal plains of the sea. Wings were settled along her back, they too were black, and they resembled bat wings in a way. Under those unusual eyes two black lines curved away, like trails for her dark tears. Three golden hoops dangled from her right ear, and on her front left paw, a spiral bracelet glinted gold in the weird light. Grey... mist swirled around her paws as she walked, twisting and twirling. It draws your gaze even more than her voice or eyes. As you look at it, you realize that it is hovering above the ground, as are her paws. The tail that adorns this marvelous creature is long and slender. She is beautiful, but in a haunting sort of way. Her large ears back, she stops before you. /Never touch that water./ She repeats, bending her head down toward your huddled frame. Her chets is a slightly darker red than the rest of her body, it looks as though her chest is broken, and blood has soaked through the fur. On top of it is a silvery symbol. It glowes when she nears you. "What a-a-are y-you?" You ask again, unable to keep that stutter out of your voice as you shy away from this lupess. She throws up her head and howl at this. When she is done, she looks back at you, and chuckles slightly. /Why, I am Kelithium, Queen and Arcanum of the Dead./
The Queen The Arcanum The Dead
You stare at this creature, this beast. Her name is spoken only by those who wish her upon themselves. You gulp air quickly, trying to keep calm. To see her like this, it was terrifying, but strangly entrancing. No one knew her story, but she must have one. No creautre would willingly be queen of the dead. As your heart races, thoughts flash through your mind. Why are you here? Did The queen bring you? If she did, why? If not, then how did you get here? Many more as well flick across your countious thoughts before you push them away. Some are to horrible. "B-but your majest-ty why m-me? Why am I-I here?" At her look you fall silent, that gaze is to horrible. Finaly after a long pause she speeks, her voice slow and thought out. /I do not know, it has never happened before now. Maybe it is a signal to me, I do not know./ Your back is against one of the scattered rocks, and your breathing is labored. You still can not rbelive that the legenday queen is before you. Shivering slightly, you try to get a good look at her. She, it was told, was a godess. Able to control all aspects of death. Finaly after a few moments of tense silence, she growls in irriation, and the images in the water fade. /I can tell nothing./ She growls pacing back and forth infront of you. When she finaly stops, she looks up at you. /Maybe if I told you my story it would all become clear to you./ She nods her head at your hunched form, and sits down on the air, her head cocked and her tail swishing behind her. /Get comfortable, my story is long, and this will take some time,/ She stops and looks at the sky. /Metiforicaly speaking of corse since no time passes here./ Her head snaps back to you. /Now, where shall I start?.../
History
/In the beginning, I was not infact a goddess. I was a creature of man, created by them in an experiment. My number? X4-666. It was called the Arcanum Experiment. There were many of us. Not all as powerful as I. I do not understand the reasoning behind this, but it was so. We, as a species, became powerful, and smart. When we asked for the rights that were naturaly ours, the greedy humans declined our offer. So, outraged, we attacked. We were each the controller of some element, of something, and in the end, we caused the collapse of time and reality. Right before this, the humans, desprate, and fading, created the Arcan Creator. He captured each one of us. I myself fought with him, and nearly won, but he capured me. Then he left me for dead. I was. But, for some reason, my spirit could not pass on. I became a ghost. A ghost which wanted to forget it's past. To hide myself, for I knew the Creator would still be searching for the Arcanum wolves, I changed my apperience, and became Mechimi the goddess of life. Then there was another, minor war, and I was killed. My form fell away, and I became the goddess of the dead. Do not ask me about those years. I do not wish to remember. But, I was unsatisfied. I wanted my life back. Or I wanted to pass on. I wanted to be myself again./ She stops, and looks away from you into the distance. /I had sealed away those memories of my days as Arcanum. I wanted to forget the pain. The pain when he asked me to join him. My indicition, my fright. But then he found me. The creator came back. He too had lost his memory. We were forced to fight, as we once had. Then he defeated me, as he had before. Because of that, I managed to restore a portion of his memory./ She looks back at you. /And now we travel together trying to find the other Arcanum. However, every once in a while, I come back here. You were lucky to catch me./ She stands, and turns away. /Now, leave./ You stare at her. That did awnser a lot of your questions. /Leave.../ You nod, and manage to get to your feet. Turning, you start to walk into the forrest. /Thank you./ The voice floats to you over the mist. For once, it was a single voice. Perfect and pure. /Thank you.../
