The Tortall ones are better than the Circle books in my opinion and you can't read Will of the Empress first, it's the first book in the that saga's third series, you will be completely lost. Start with Sandry's book. Oh and for those of you who have read Wolf-Speaker then you must read Treebrother which is a short story in this book called Half-Human.
