((Note: This is for any Lazuli members, and takes place in one of Kinuva's biggest cities. Because I don't like nameless cities, I'm naming the city Rochester. I don't know where I got that, so...))
Rochester was a bustling city on the shore of the ocean, and quite far away from the Guild and Collective. It had beautiful views and white sandy beaches, and a pristine bay with the perfect sized waves. A center of business and magic, it made perfect sense that the Lazuli headquarters were situated here.
And they were.
In a lovely mansion atop a hill, Tanevi was busy filling out papers, ignoring the restless part of her very large and widespread gang that was situated in fron of her. Signing her name with a flourish, she looked up to those who sat in discomfort, and smiled humourlessly.
"Fidgeting, m'dears? I've only got one more letter to write...."
It seemed as if the Lapis tried to draw out her letter to the Leader of the Collective as long as possible, and inwardly she grinned from the groans of impatience coming from the group in fron of her. Finally setting down her pen and trailing a finger across the seal of the envelope to seal it with fairly potent magic, she stood. Flourishing the newly written letter, the Lapis asked, "Does anyone know what this is?"
None could answer.
Her smile seemed to widen, although none of it reached her cold and emotionless eyes.
"As none of you know....I am sending this to the Leader of the Collective. He has kindly offered us a post there for awhile; more specifically me. But of course, I would never go there alone....all of you I have selected out of the many in my gang to come with me."
"WHAT?"
A man stood up, face completely red.
"Do you have something to say, Comet?" asked Tanevi coldly. She knew him....name was Sanders, and he had been a former sailor before joining.
"Yes!" he shouted. "Who ever said we wanted to go and join some worshippers of a god? I don't support Jilath or Vintaph, as you well know, NONE of us do! How come you didn't tell us before choosing?"
It was only them he noticed the dark look on the Lapis' face, but it was too late.
A flash, like a bolt of lightning, struck him, and Sanders fell to the floor sensless and lifeless.
Tanevi merely looked up at the high cieling, as if vaguely trying to recall what had happened. "It's been quite stormy lately, hasn't it?"
The only sign that she was the source of the cause were the few sparks dancing around her fingertips.....
"Any more comments? Concerns? I won't bite...."
((-sighs- It's nice to play a villian for once....pretty much, say something positive and she'll reward you somehow, negative, you get sparked. ^^))
