"Well that's alright. Not everyone here is here to fight. Most people are, and the help is greatly appreciated, but it's not a requirement or anything." Reka said with a a light laugh.

"Then how come that is on the exam, as well as magic? I mean, I barely pulled through....and if people aren't here to fight, what's the point of that?" Really, what she said had made no sense.

Hmmmm...[/color] Reka thought about it for a moment. "Actually, to tell you the truth, I really don't know. See, I've never taken the exam, so I don't know everything that's on it. I've also heard from several people that it is challenging and they loose so much sleep studying for it. Maybe, one of these days, I'll go and have a little chat with the people who administer the entrance exam."

"But it's not just writing!" he protested, missing the part of her not taking it and what that meant. "So if the Guild supports people who don't fight, why do they make it so much harder for those people to get in? Because fighting was the largest part of it..."

"Ok, ok, calm down." Reka said gently, laughing at him a little bit. He was certianly passionate about the topic. "As I said, I will go and have a talk with the people who administer the exam and see what I can do, alright?"

"Oh. Okay," he said, more subdued, and slightly oblivious to the world. They were finally at the forest. It was big. He liked it.

"Well, here's the lovely and extensive forest!" Reka announced, not that it was neccessary. A forest really was self explanitory. "It goes from here, all the way into the mountains near the Collective, to the edge of town, and to the beach in that dirrection." She said with a small wave in the dirrection of the beach before they entered.

It was...huge. Filion looked a bit dazed. "That's....big..."

"Tell me about it!" Reka said with a laugh. "You don't know how many times we've had people get lost in here! And sometimes it takes them quite a while to get back out. Or sometimes they come out somewhere completely different."

"That wouldn't be fun," he agreed, eyes just wandering from tree to tree. "Well....where should we go to find a Companion?"

"Well... anywhere really. This forest is filled with animals. Sometimes they are easy to find, other times they aren't. I guess it all depends on the day." She said with a laugh. "But, if your looking for something bigger, we have to go a bit deeper into the forest. There are a variety of larger canines and felines in the forest, but they usually reside a bit further in than the smaller animals." She told him.

He nodded. "Alright. Thanks for coming with me..." Filion was very grateful. Now he could get a Companion. Like a wolf. Or a tiger. Or soemthing else that was big....

"You're welcome." Reka smiled at him. "I'm glad I came too. I've definately had enough time in the Guild over the past few days. Besides, this sounded fun."

"Yes. And we've barely started, so there's more fun." It made sense to him, at least, that more fun would come along. "So....what's the Guild like on an everyday basis?"

"Well.." Reka paused, thinking about how to answer that question. "Normally, the Guild is probably just about as far from normal as you can imagine. So, here, abnormal is normal. There are some pretty crazy things that go on around here. Including sleeping under tables, random explosions, some caused by exploding bacon, and other sugar induced hyper activities, even without the help of any sweets." She laughed.
