Suzume, in one of her typical dazes, had somehow managed to make it into the Main Hall without breaking any bones by crashing into anything or falling. However, she was totally out of it now, standing in the middle of the, at the moment, empty space. She was staring at the ground, at apparently nothing, and had been in that position for a long time, her pale, messy hair falling into her eyes through the feathery wing hairclips that usually held it out of her eyes. Not that she noticed, obviously, in one of her moments...Fenrir, who had learned to be patient with his friend, was now getting anxious. He prodded her ankle with his cold, wet nose.
'Oi..Suzume...I don't think you should be standing around for no reason like this...'
But she still didn't notice; not until her blue-metal staff, crystals shining, slipped from her hand and onto the hard floor with a loud clatter.
"Ah!" She let out the squeak, flinching and covering her head out of instinct. Then, blinking with pure confusion, she looked down at Fenrir, who, after recovering from his own fright, was looking at her with an 'I told you so' look. She bent down, picking the staff up then smiling in her dazed way at the puppy, getting his look wrong.
"Aww, Fenrir's tired." She said in a quiet, happy cooing voice. She picked him up, holding him. The puppy didn't bother correct her; he was tired from their long trek. The short teenager holding him looked around, her mind starting to clear, and catching as much with one eye as people did with two, if not more.
"Okay so...What now?" The place was slightly intimidating, but as she heard her voice echo, a rather mischevious grin crept across her features. Fenrir, if it was possible for a dog to do so, rolled his eyes.
'Please don't tell me she's going to play the 'Echo, Echo!' game in here, of all places...' He groaned mentally.
