(alright then, i'll go on...)
"Well..." Khe continued. "Salem used to be, by far, the best hired gun on all of Kinuva. His specialty was hunting the collective, he would never except jobs from them and he'd turn in collective marks twice as quickly as normal ones. It was thought he had some kind of grudge against them as he'd attack collective members even when he hadn't been hired to do so. Finally it got to the point where he went to hunt the collective leader. He left his apprentice behind and made for the leader's mansion. Rumor has it he made it all the way to the master's inner chambers and didn't return for an entire year. They say when he came out, he was as insane as he is now and was immediately put in the position of the master's right hand man."

Interesting. "Did anyone ever know what happened, or suspect what might have happened?" Curiousity gripped her, and so did a challenge to find out what had happened. But also she had to automatically stop herself from leaning in on Khe- she was close enough as it was. Ears turned a bit pink as more inappropriate thoughts filled her head, which were vanished with difficulty.

"No one knows, not a single person, trust me i've asked, its all between Salem, the master, and Vinataph." Khe muttered, too lost in his thoughts to notice how close she was or her embarassment.

"And probably Casrina," supplied Tessa. "Although maybe not...she's high, but her and Salem seem to be of the same level. And Vintaph doesn't tell her everything..." She pulled back into herself, thinking of possibilities.

"It doesn't matter, with those three, possibly four holding the secret, we're not gonna figure it out unless they want us too." Khe admitted, a little more dissappointedly than would be expected of a normal collective officer.

"Or if we subject them to torture," she agreed. "But that's impossible, seeing as A) We woudl never get close enough to the Leader; B) Casrina's a bit too loopy to ever submit to torture; C) Vintaph can't be tortured; and D) Salem woudl anihilate us before we even got a chance to commit torture." The barest smile flsuhed her face. "And I wouldn't torture them anyways since they work quite nicely forthe Collective." Tessa said placidly. "But..." Something made her pause. "It'a a bit odd, isn't it, that there's no pack Bonded currently?" She was, of course, refering to the Fae Wolves....the most powerful Collective spirits. None were Bonded that she knew of, although she suspected the Leader might have one...you never knew.

Khe laughed. "Oh there is, the leader somehow bonded all six of them, light, fire, earth, wind, water, dark, all six. He just never leaves the mansion so you've never seen his little pets." Khe chuckled.

((Fear...that technically isn't possible. Because there's always at least one female as Alphess. And Faes Bond to their own gender. So...if that's true, there's somethhing VERY wrong with that Leader. Because wolves arent gender confused. Gay, yes, as research has shwon gay horses, wolves, etc., but at least they know their gender. Plus... -pouts- You're going to take all the fun out of the next Bonding. And honestly, you've got to let some of the power roleplay-wise out of your and Jeni's grasp. You've already got the King Shade, and she the Queen Elemental. One of the reasosn I created the Fae Wolves that way, with so many, was so others could be able to have some more control. So...give it up.)) "I don't believe that." she said flatly, wrapping arms around her knees against the cold. Mentally she stoked the fireplace higher.

(lol fine, you win)
Khe gave her a joking grin. "Then you'd be right, I was just exagerating, he only has the Fae Wolf of darkness and it would be the alpha male if there were any others around right now."

((^^ Admit it, if he were Bonded to the Alphess Fae it'd be pretty wrong....))
"But, since there aren't, and there hasn't been a Bonding since before I left here to the Guild...wat's the liklihood of there being one soon? /I/ wouldn't be able to stand because I've got Oyam, even if currently our ties our severed. But I've never seen a Fae before, and it's very porbable that there's at least one in the next Bonding...." Tessa rambled, although Khe wouldn't know who Oyam is. But of course he did, as he was a spy. Tessa just didn't know it.

"There'll probably beone soon...i'll assume Oyam is your spirit from your time in the guild?" He asked, playing as if he didn't already know all about it.

She nodded. "Yes. A Shade. A bit of a ditz, but....I miss her. Casrina has her now, and since she went with Casrina I haven't been able to speak to her at all. I mean, I feel her there but not any emotions, and we can't communicate."

"Why would they split you up?" Khe asked, more to himslef than her. "You'd be much more valuable with your spirit..."

"It's Casrina. Apparently she runs her own experiments, when given the chance. Although I believe she doesn't use humans...When I first got here they both wanted me to come with them, and Oyam would go to the one I didn't go with. Eris had no use for Oyam, so I was sent with her while Casrina took my Shade." The words were said slightly dully, and she flinched from them, wondering what really was happening to Oyam.
