Serge looked at Calyx and Ceredin and blinked.

Ceredin's face... well, it either shut down or contorted. It was very difficult to tell, but the air definitely froze. "What... did you just call me...?" Distantly she realized that this was anything but the appropriate time for this conversation, but she was too pissed off to care much.

Calyx's face blanked as he realized what he had just blurt out. "Ummm...nothing...i didn't call you anything." He said quickly. He still hadn't let go of her, nor would he, not for all the gold on Kinuva.

"Cerey... werey..." She stared at him for a moment, then... "Pfft. Pfft. Pff... Ha. Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha!" Suddenly she was laughing, nearly bawling. Some cool, detached part of her brain informed her that she was hysterical and looked like an idiot, but she couldn't stop it, no matter how much she ordered herself to. "Cerey-werey! Ha ha ha ha- ha ha ha!" She sagged, covering her face, still laughing. Must-stop-laughing-not-good-time-going-to-get-myself-killed-seem-insensitive- Crap.

Calyx realized that she wasn't really laughing but rather was hysterical. He took on a caring smaile and sank to the ground with her, holding her gently, trying to sheild her from the rest of the world. "Shusu, shush, its alright." He said comfortingly, knowing that tears would probably come next.

Ceredin somehow managed to get herself under control and quickly jumped back to her feet, shoving him away from her person. Then, bright red, she left the room, muttering that she was going to search for a scent trail as well. She shoved past Zeth and Amaranth, remarking rudely under her breath that they didn't seem to be working too hard, and set off down the hall, desperately trying to find a trail and redeem herself. Gods, she had just looked like an idiot!

Calyx just looked after her with a blank look. He then realized he was no longer latched onto his girlfriend. He didn't like not being latched onto her so he quickly stood and hurried after her.

Ceredin hissed under her breath and spun around. "Okay, Calyx, please stop following..." she grimaced, "Cerey-werey. Cerey-werey would like to try to track the murderer, thank you very much. Not that I can find a trace," she added under her breath. She felt... very strange. She couldn't figure out why, or how strange, she just identified the feeling as... strange.

Calyx gave her a serious look that said he wasn't fooling around anymore. "Do you really think i'm gonna let you go off looking for a murderer all alone? I'm coming and theres nothing you can do about it. You could rip my legs off for all I care, i'll crawl after you until I pass out from bloodloss."

Ceredin stared at him, scowled, shrugged, and turned back around. “Do whatever you want,” she said, somewhat callously. “I don’t care. It’s your skin.” She was pissed as hell at the moment, more for her own actions than anything else, and was taking it out on him. She put a hand to her head and shook herself. The weird feeling was not going away. Damn.

Only now did Sara enter. She was still dressed completely in her attire from before, and looked extremely tired. Ranting under her breath, she said: "Nothing, nothing nothing...looked all over, still couldn't find anything....call theirselves a library..." Only then did she freeze, noticing -finally- that Aeos was dead. "What in Jilath...?" she whispered, eyes wide in horror...

Calyx silently walked next to her and took her free hand. As mentioned before, he did not enjoy not being latched onto her.

Ceredin wanted very much to shake his hand off, but decided not to try it, as he would probably just grab her hand again, or squish her, which was worse. So she tolerated it. She turned in circles, nose in the air, ears twitching. Nothing. How could there be nothing?

"Any luck?" Calyx asked hpefully as they walked around in circles a few times. He knew the answer was probably no but the silence had been getting to him.

“No,” Ceredin said, softly, then stopped. “But... there is... something... can’t tell... what it is...” She was silent, thinking.
