She shot Fayd a warm smile. "It does seem doubtful that we'll find anything." she admitted. But it can't hurt...

"With a Mage and a Hunter, not much will be missed," replied Fayd as he looked at Serge and shook his head.

Damn, The End thought angrily. It was slowly tracking Zeth progress through the Guild, disguised as nothing more than a shadow. Unless you looked closely. But who looked closely at a shadow? It was lurking on top of one of the doorframes close to Zeth Close enough just to reach out and... The End resisted the inpulse, however hard it was. Maybe now was the best time.... It heard the controlled Spirit in its head as well. It was bloodthirsty, and ready to kill. But patientence was the best tool of a person such as The End. Wait, and the chance will appear.

Amaranth hesitated at the thought of leaving him alone, but nodded. Surely she'd hear if something happened to him. As quickly as she could, she stripped herself of the bloodied nightgown, rinsed off as much of the blood as possible (regaining her natural hair color in the process), dressed again in her normal outfit, and went back out of her room.

Now. The End leapt down, landing almost soundlessly behind Zeth. The Spirit's contact finally broke, and the creature rushed out of it's hiding place. With a leap, it pinned Zeth to the wall. "Well well, what have we here, eh Zeth?" The End laughed quietly, waiting for a response from the soon-to-be victim. After the traditional banter, and a couple of injuries, it planned on letting the warped Spirit finish him.

Zeth took a sharp intake of breath as he was slammed against a wall. Shit... He thoguht franctially to himself. He hadn't heard it in the slightest. "Who the hell are you?" He demanded fiercly as he struggled to break free. They were strong whoever they were. He knew that this person was the one they were after.

Amaranth was at her door when she heard someone talking. No! She wrenched open her door.
((-has to wait to know what she finds- XD))

"Hmm..." The End tapped one finger against its chin in mock thought. "Well... I feel no inclination to tell you. But.... Maybe you'll find out later. Maybe not. You could figure it out now, if you tried. Think real hard. You have one clue right in front of you." The End nodded toward the bloodthirsty Spirit. The crazed creature was being quite a pain to control.

Zeth suddenly came to a realization of who it was. He couldn't believe it. "But... why?" He hissed, extremely confused. He couldn'y believe what he was seeing. He struggled again, but it was in vain, he was being strongly held against the wall. "I don't see why you would do this." He said, his eyes narrowed dangerously. He wanted them to pay. His tattoo glowed on his side, his anger rising. "You had no reason to kill Aeos." Zeth snapped angrily, small flames curling at his fingertips. He was slightly distracted by the footsteps and he looked fleetingly across the hall over his attacker's shoulder at Amaranth's door (probably a huge mistake) realizing she was about to come out.

The End's voice grew incredibly cold. "That, I'm afraid, you'll never know." It let its control over the Spirit break, and the creature went for him with a vengance. It was over in seconds, although there seemed to be a trickle of life left in him. The End was tempted to let him have a few moments with his girlfriend, then thought against it. Whipping out a knife, it quickly slit Zeth's throat. Both The End and the Spirit were gone by the time Amaranth opened the door.

When she saw, Amaranth almost had a heart attack. No no no! She ran out of her room, biting back a shriek. That would only make trouble. If whoever... if she drew other people, they could be killed, too. That didn't stop her from crying, though. "No, no, no!" Frantically she tried to stop the bleeding, even though she knew the wound was a fatal one. "No, no, no!" Didn't she know healing?! Couldn't she fix it?! "No, no, NO!" Now she had shrieked, and she knew that someone would have heard.

At the sound of the scream Serge was gone into the shadows. Seconds later he was beside Amaranth and looking at Zeth. There was a muttered curse and then the young warrior tried to remember the healing magic he had been taught.

Although The End was suppose to be hiding now, it couldn't help but look at the scene. Zeth's bloody, mauled body, Amaranth freaking out, and people were some going to be rushing to them. The End couldn't help it. "Yes, yes, yes." Just a little whispered comment, barely loud enough for her to hear.
