Amber slid sideways thought he door, her eyes wide and scared. She'd been cleared, along with Aia, and scrubbed down before being allowed into the house. Desh had dropped them off, still really busy with... something, Amber really didn't know, and she wasn't about to ask. There didn't seem to be anyone here. Aia squeezed Amber's hand tighter, even more frightened than she had been in the dungeon. She didn't want anyone to tease her about her ears, and since Amber didn't, she'd become attached to the older girl, who seemed to have recovered somewhat from her collapse in the dungeon.

Sunny was looking after Naita, who had been dropped off by Ceredin. She chased the rambunctous five-year-old through the smooth wooden halls, trying to keep herself as cheerful as possible for the younger one's sake. "A-Amber!" she cried as she saw her friend come in, having finally caught up with Naita and picked her up carefully.

"Sunny?" Amber's head turned, and she dragged Aia behind her as she ran toward her friend, so happy that at least she had survived. "Where are we?" Amber asked as she finally let go. Aia was still holding Amber's hand, but she was hiding behind the older girl, watching Sunny and Naita carefully.

"It's the Quarantine house," Sunny said, poking Naita patiently in the side as the younger child babbled happily about something. "I'm sorry your Mommy and Daddy died." The phrase had become more familiar and usable in the last day.

"I'm sorry your Mommy and Daddy died," Amber said back, her face sunken again. "Desh is still here though. And why are we here? He dropped me off, and then they poked me in the stomach and forehead, and my arms too, before scrubbing me with this evil soap, and then letting me in after taking my cloths away." She plucked at the dress she now wore. She hated dresses. "And Aia too." She dragged the three-year old forward, and patted her on the head.

"So that we don't get sick and die, too. They poked us so that they could make sure we weren't already sick so that we didn't hurt everybody else." Amber really did have the maturity of the average seven-year-old, and Sunny knew it, so she used simple words. Her friend wasn't stupid, just unwilling to be intelligent. "Hi, Aia. Naita, say Hi." "Hi!" Naita giggled, then went back to a rant involving cookies. "Naita's Mommy and Daddy are still alive, but they went away so that they wouldn't get sick 'cause they couldn't help."

"I think Desh is helping," Amber said thoughtfully, poking Sunny in the side to remind her that she wasn't the only one who knew to much. "But I don't know how... Knowing him, it isn't doing much." She giggled, for the first time in two days. Two days that she hadn't had any food or water, which went for Aia too. "Ellow," Aia muttered to Naita, still uncomfortable with words.

"Ow. Maybe. Come on," she added, sensing the thought fragment, "There's food over here, that's where the kitchen is."

"Okay..." Amber smiled, happy that her friend knew exactly what was needed. "I think Aia is in more need of water though." She blinked down at the little girl, who was hiding behind her again.

Chiyoko, who had been eating, poked her head out of the kitchen, and smiled. She stepped out into the room and, after a few more seconds of chewing and a large gulp, said,"Hey, you! It's good to see you guys, again." Chiyoko liked the quarintine house. It was nice and snug, she got to hang out with girls her age, and a few younger, she got to stay away from the sickness and the dying, and she got a place to stay, which had been hard to find since she got to the guild. Chiyoko took another bit of the apple she was holding, and, smiling cheerfully, she headed back to the kitchen to get a napkin to wipe her mouth off.

Leila was the next to pop out of the kitchen. "Hi Amber, Aia." She greeted, smiling at the two girls. She hadn't seen either of them yet today, and was very glad to. She didn't want to lose any of her friends. Even though she was couped up in the quarintine house, it was still better than being at the Guild at the moment. And, here, she had friends to talk with.

"Hi you two!" Amber said, waving back with the hand that held Aia's so that both of them were waving. It was Amber's secret ambition to get the girl to at least talk with someone. "I'm glad you're all right."

Sunny half-smiled. It was difficult to be totally present and focus on blocking out some of the pain at the same time. "Hi. Okay, there's food and stuff over there..." She gestured to the low table where things for the young ones had been set out. It included some of the fizzy, sugary drink that Sunny avoided like the... well, like the plague. It gave her the hiccups, and Jilath knew that no one wanted that. Naita, for her part, continued babbling about nothing.

Amber decided that just water and some crackers were good enough. She was hungry, but felt like anything rich would make her throw up. She handed some of the fizzy drink to Aia, and pushed the girl toward Naita. "She seems just your type."

"I'm very glad you're alright too." Leila replied, then stepped back into the kitchen guesturing for the others to follow. "And yes, as Sunny said, there's plenty to eat and drink." She said, waving a hand at the various cupboards and food already out, before reaching down to take a bite of her own bar of chocolate. Apparently, she had inherited her mother's love for chocolate as well.
