Jeni snapped her head over and looked at Amaranth, her eyes wide with surprise. She watched the flame grow and as Amaranth instantly put it out. Wow, that was wild. She thought aside to Reka as the Queen Elemental watched with interest.

Aeos had no idea Amaranth was staring at him...because the fire had had knocked him onto the ground. As he realized what had happened he bagan to laugh. "Hahaha that was wonderful, phenomenal, excellent, I've never seen anyone create such a blaze as a beginner, in fact not even many journeyman firewizards could conjure something with strength like that." he marveled as he got back up and brushed himself off.

Amaranth continued to glare at him. Overemotional she may be, this may be overreacting, but she was still pissed as hell. Don't you dare call me afraid! she thought.

"Yes, I must say, that was quite amazing." Jeni agreed, still stunned at the force of the fire Amaranth had created. "Yes, it was very nice" Reka added.

Uni let her fire die. She was surprised Amaranth had been able to do that. Uni could only do that with wind and water! And usualy only with Wind! Wind was the one thing she could control perfectly! Then Water, which she wasn't so good at. Fire was not her friend. She stared at her friend.

Fading. She wasn't really angry any more, and that loss left her feeling empty. She simply looked on with a neuteral expression as the others praised her, but their words glanced off the barrier of emptiness. She waited calmly for the lesson to continue.

((She's kinda bipolar, just like the real Amaranth was. She can go from furious to empty in half a second, and any other change. She's kinda psycho.))

"Ok you all seem to have the basic conjuring down, now lets try getting it concentrated. Do the same thing only this time try and think of two conflicting emotions at once, like anger and happiness, or modesty and jealousy, the two will collide and create at least twice the power, probably more."

Amaranth almost laughed. Conflicting emotions? Oh, she knew that. But only two? There were so many, and they battled for power. Unbidden, that face leaped into her mind. Fear. Happiness. Sadness. Anger. Loneliness. Joy. The flame leapt up again, this time black and whirling like an inferno over her palm. It leapt high and seemed to scorch even the clouds before it turned and lashed out in all directions. Stop the confusion, stop the hurt, make it go away- She closed her hand before the flame could actually hit anything and it vanished. But the feelings were still there, hotter than the flame. They danced inside her, burning, decimating everything they touched. A single tear found its way to the corner of her eye and she blinked it away impatiently. She needed to focus now- she could have hurt someone!

Uni nodded, and tried to think of two diffrent emotions. Happiness...and anger... Those would be easy for her. She thought of last night, and a ball of fire burst into life in each palm. One was the color of happiness, and the other of furry.

"Uh, Amaranth, I'm not sure i can help you with your problem right now, it seems like its not my place to help, but let me know when you are ready to continue." Aeos had seen an all consuming black flame before and it could only mean a terrible loss. Uni on the other hand, he could help at the moment. "Alright Uni, you are on the right track but you have to put both emotions into the same blaze."

I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine! Nothing wrong. Nothing at all. Right. "I don't have a problem." She wasn't sure if she said it out loud or if it was only in her mind, but the lie comforted her, and she calmed down. This was much easier than she had expected, amazingly. And this was her element's opposite. She wondered vaguely if she would be able to do anything with any of the other elements.
