Aeos had just finished putting the final target scare crow into the ground. He stepped a few paces back and surveyed his work. "There we go...just right, what do you think Zan?" "They're just targets, not even you could screw that up the shade replied with a dark chuckle. "What the hell is that supposed to mean." "Haha nothing, nothing, you had better compose yourself, it seems as though your students are beginning to arrive."

Uni Apeared, Maranth in tow. She smiled, and bowed to Aeos, figureing that a wave would be disrespectful now that he was their teacher. She stopped a little way away.
((Brain is off...))

Maranth also bowed respectfully, blushing in awkwardness. The only time she had ever been near a person of high rank before was when she was serving them food.
Or with him. She had been near him.

"Hey Uni, what did I tell you about honorifics when you are around me, that kinda stuff bugs the crap out of me, and you must be Amaranth, how did you enjoy listening in on our conversation last night." he asked her with a wink and a sly chuckle.

So that was Why..."Well, since your our Teacher, I figures it would only be correct." Uni smiled, cocking her head slightly.

Her flush deepened. "I- I didn't mean to," she stammered, looking at her feet. It was all she could do to keep from bolting. Oh, she was going to get it now, the master had caught her eavesdropping, just like before, oh, yes, just exactly like before, and then she would run, and run, and run... "I- I'm sorry, sir," she continued, trembling with the urge to run away.

Uni rolled her eyes, God this was what bugged her about people. Maybe it had been the way she raised herself, but it. Was. So. Damn. Annoying! "It's fine by me. There wasn't anything I wanted to keep secret." She rocked back and forth on her heals, her hands clasped behind her back. She could feel her knives digging into her skin.

"Meh...don't worry about it, I know enough about my own guild to know you could hear every word like it or not, besides the fact that you listened and payed attention is a good thing, it means that you are interested in the world around you and thats a good trait to have."

"Are we the only one's who are going to be here?" Uni asked, still rocking back and forth. She did that whenever she was bored, or looking foward to something. "I thought that a few more gradutes would be coming. I know that about half of them don't know a thing about magic. And a few of them are like me, they know basic stuff. I figured they would want to know more."

"Well this course has a prerequisite and you two were the only ones who scored high enough on the entrance exams, i'm sure more people will join in later but for right now it's just you two, Jeni is going to join us later after we cover the fundamentals but until then its just us."

Amaranth was silent, looking at her feet. Silently she berated herself for being so silly. She had a place here, and a place that was far better than her former. No one was going to beat her for hearing things any more, she was relatively safe. And, if she did happen to bond, even to a Faerie or a Ghost or whatever, she would be that much safer.

"Realy?" Uni sounded surprised. "Well having a hangover will do that to a man..." She muttered, looking out over the traning course.

"Well then I guess we can get started then." Aeos stepped back and held up one finger, from which sprouted a small whirlwind a flame. He moved his finger in a circular motion and the whirlwind transferred to three apple sized balls of flame that slowly circled his outstretched finger. He then proceeded to juggle the fireballs. "Lesson 1, fire magic." he said with a grin.

Uni watched with fasination. She could only do the most basic stuff with fire. Such as hurl a fire ball, nothing like that! Of course Fire wasn't her element, but she still enjoyed using it.

Amaranth watched his antics, still silent. Fire. Of course. It just had to be fire, didn't it? Oh, well. The worst she could do would be burn herself, since there was no way she could conjure enough to do any serious damage.
