Name: Nightingale
Age: 17
Year Added: 15, age 17
Rank: Healer, makeshift caretaker from the orphans of the epidemic
Appearance: See picture. Nightingale is pretty, but not beautiful. Everything about her seems ordinary, drab. She is often referred to as "plain." She is small, only five feet tall, with straight brown hair and gray eyes. (She doesn't wear glasses.)
Personality: Nightingale, at first, seems as average as she looks. She is shy, but friendly. She blushes easily and will bury her face in a book to avoid embarassment. She adores being outdoors, but is terrified of loud noises. She is incredibly light on her feet, and can jump ridiculously high and far. She really only has a few talents: healing, anything to do with being an intellectual other than math (she hates math), and singing. But you'll never find out about the last; she's far too terrified to let anyone hear her. She is only really herself around children, and takes care of them quite well, which is one of the reasons she was chosen to look after the orphans despite her young age.
History: Nightingale has always been alone. She was abandoned by her mother to an orphanage, and was always too shy to make many friends there. At twelve, she was adopted by a priest who didn't like her so much as he liked the idea of having a talented healer around. The priest, who had pretty much ignored her the entire time she'd been with him, died recently, and, as she hadn't been mentioned in any of the records he'd left behind, Nightingale was kicked out. She didn't mind too terribly, and made for the nearest place she thought she could be useful: the Guild. She had wanted to be a Candidate (the idea of having someone who was always with her and always understanding thrilled her) but since she refuses to fight (despite the fact that she probably could) she wasn't allowed to take the exam. She had hoped that, because of some precedent, she would be able to pass on the basis of an excellent score on the written portion, but she couldn't take the exam. Now she works as a Healer, and has recently become the caretaker for the orphans of the epidemic.

Fighting Style: She does not fight if she can avoid it.
