I decided to write some Fan Fiction! Yay! Maybe I'll actually finish this one... I hope so, I never seem to finish things. XD
Anyway, here's the first chapter to my Kingdom Hearts fanfic, Till Death Do Us Part. Enjoy! And please tell me what you think!
Quick, soft footsteps could be heard as a girl ran quickly through the dense forest. I t was around midnight, the pale moon was glowing brightly against the curtain on black and small distant stars were also visible. Everything was calm and quiet, except for the muffled footsteps. The girl’s blond hair was flying wildly behind her as she swiftly moved between the trees, getting closer to her destination with each hurried step. She had sneaked out of her house after her parents had gone to bed. The rest of the town was also sleeping peacefully. Even the nature seemed to be sleeping. The animals were all quite and there was only a very light breeze, barely strong enough to shift the leaves on the trees. If only the girl could’ve felt the same tranquility.
After running a few more yards, she finally reached the small clearing. However, she wasn’t alone. Standing there waiting for her was a young man. She had spoken to him earlier that morning, but their conversation had been interrupted so, she said she’d meet him here at midnight to discuss their plans and he happily agreed. He had come shortly before midnight and was now waiting patiently for her to arrive. Hearing the approaching footsteps he smiled, looking in the direction they were coming from to see her running towards him. His smile faltered however, upon realization that she looked very upset and distressed and a look of concern crossed his face.
“Namine, what’s…” He have time to ask his question before she slammed into him, flinging her arms around him as she clung to him tightly, beginning to sob uncontrollably. Startled, it took him a second to react. Wrapping his arms around her lithe form, he held her closely to him, wondering why she was so upset. Again, he tried asking her. “Namine, what’s wrong?” His voice was gentle and full of concern. He knew it had to be something big to upset her this much. Namine continued to cry, her face was buried in his shoulder, causing her words to be muffled and barely understandable.
“Oh Riku, it’s awful.” She said hopelessly. Still confused, Riku just stood there, trying to comfort her.
“Namine, it’s alright, I’m here. Just tell me what’s wrong. Please.” He told her. He hated seeing her like this. Especially since he didn’t even know what was going on.
“This is terrible. I can’t do it. I love you.” She said, her odd phrases coming out in a jumble and Riku noticed the odd stress she had put on the word “you.” However, he wasn’t going to question it, he still wanted to find out what she was crying about.
“Yes Namine, I know you love me. And I love you too. More than anything. And I would do anything for you.” He said quietly, stroking her blond hair with one hand while the other remained around her waist.
“But there’s nothing… There’s no way…” Namine choked out in despair. Riku continued to try and make sense of what she was saying, wanting her to tell him more.
“Namine, I can’t help you if I don’t know anything.”
“But you can’t help! It’s hopeless!” She cried, holding him tighter.
“I’m sure there’s something I could do. I would do anything in my power to help you.” He said reassuringly. “You know I would do anything I could to make you happy, I love you far to much to see you in pain. I want to help. Please tell me what’s wrong.” He asked, a bit of desperation in his own voice.
Namine suddenly stopped crying. She looked up at Riku, her blue eyes meeting his aqua colored ones. However, hers were very red and wet. But what scared Riku was the look of terror and helplessness in them. And those feelings were strongly reflected in her voice when she spoke.
“Riku, I’m getting married.”
