Violence in Schools(Rant on the Montreal Shooting)

If you've heard about the montreal shooting, but have not heard much of the details then i'll give you some inside info.

The suspect was a teenage guy, young, and went to a school called Dawson, I believe in Montreal. which is in canada. He was a member of a goth site, called vampirefreaks.com. which i am also a member of. he was reported to be wearing some um, black boots and just well, black.
The press and others are blaming vampirefreaks.com for the kid's reason for shooting. It was not his reason for shooting, I'm sure. He shot alot of people, random people. I do believe that one guy died. Which is tragic, yes. But people are blaming the goth community and punks and stuff for alot of things. and instead of being logical and smart and mature ADULTS about these shooting situations, and going into the personal life of the shooter, their blaming a website and a community. (it's the same as blaming HARRY POTTER for multiple things, such as back problems; mean and agressive girls - girls are already like that, fyi - ; and some other shit.)
but the goth community is a bunch of mature people, deep thinkers, and people with controversial (sp?) styles. They are very smart and intelligent people and they get blamed for a lot of stupid things.
anyway, this guy had some serious problems.
but my point is...that...you all should look into addressing this problem with your schools. because if there is a shooting some day, you'll just might be prepared.
also, spread the word that stereo types and generalizations and singling communities out and blaming them for the corrupt world is wrong. and it's what the press and people are doing.

i feel VERY stongly on this subject. it's very difficult for me to explain exactly what i feel, but if you also feel strongly about this, i totally urge to go to your school or your friends, or reach out to someone who isn't your friend and give your opinion on this matter. it's very important. because a shooting can happen even at your school. at mine, too.
it happened in montreal.
and if you know someone who is going through a tough time, or is like, getting bullied or whatever, tell someone and get that person help. and for yourself too, don't let your emotions and your aggression build up inside, because you don't know you are truly capable of doing until you do it. talk to someone if you need to. don't ever do what this guy did.

also um, this whole situation is ridiculous but serious. you'd be scared shitless, too, if you saw some guy walking toward a high school in broad daylight with a huge HUGE gun and then shoots people right by you. RIGHT BY YOU. he could've shot you. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITH YOUR SCHOOL. okay that's all. ... ithink

I hate it when people blame it because of racial differeneces and stuff. Although there /are/ some correlations between some things (IE- African Americans as a whole aren't as rich BECAUSE they used to be slaves; it's a cycle of poverty. So because of this, schools in thier neighborhoods aren't as good, and the education is lower...) But murder and being Gothic!?! That's a new low for media...

One of best friends is Jewish, and she's pushed around in school for religious differences and because they take one look at her heavily Israeli face and immediately put her down. It's especially hard since she's got to be the only Jewish person in my school, my town being a mainly white Christain community.

And, further, they are all people. We're all people. (The smartest, yet most despicable group of organisms on earth.) I work at a soup kitchen and it's very touching- one girl who was working there said it was her birthday, and this homeless black guy gives her a dollar, which had to have been worth /alot/ to him. Then there's the guy in the wheelchair who if it weren't for his disease that I can't remember the name of, his homelessness, and dark skin, I'm sure he would be some singer somewhere since he's got the best voice I've /ever/ heard. Even if there are racial differences, we can all be nice to each other.

I agree. Racial descrimination os horrible. Just because someone looks a certain way doesn't describe anything about them. They could be the nicest person in the world, or a nice looking erson could be the meanest and such. I think you get my point. It's horrible the way people descriminate based on race or something else such as the way you dress or things you like.

Uh-huh. Like there are preppy people, but just because someone wears Abercrombie or Hollister, etc., it does not mean they are a preppy person. Horrible example, I know, but true....

EXCUSE ME? That's so damn stupid! I'm Jewish, blonde, Hispanic, and a bunch of other minorities and you don't see me:

being an idiot and getting a 1.25 GPA (also dumb- I'm one of the top students, set for being valedictorian if my school did that)
or running around with a spanish accent and shooting people.

That's terrible, thinking wrongly of others because of where they're from or what they look like. I have a large linage.(So much I can't even say all of it) But still, that's just terrible. I wish that wasn't so. And poverty and homeless people. I wish for a lot of good things, but they never come true. A lot of people wish for stuff like that. And anyone who doesn't want all those good things to come true, shame on them!

I honsetly have no idea what I am. For sure, I'm French, English (The Bristish are coming! >.< So sick of it) and Irish. No idea what else I am. And stuff like racism, preppyness, and a bunch of other crap is alive and well in my class, the top most is being to scared or wishy-washy to go against the flow.

And yes, going against the flow seems to be a problem. Everyone wants to look and be poular and preppy and crap. It's so stupid. You should really just be yourself and have people accept you for who you really are, not an act you're trying to acheive.
