Demitri laughed, and was about to reply when- the clock hit one. Norai abruptly woke up. FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!! she shouted, jumping up and running full-tilt out the door, knocking over several people in her way. "Ack! I'm sorry- I'm sorry- Oh... Please forgive her! I'm so sorry!" Demitri cried, jumping up to clean up after Norai's.... excitement.

Dumbfounded, when Sasha finally came to her senses, she started laughing. Hysterically. It was funny. Norai was off like a rocket for food, oblivious to the plates of chow around her, with Demitri scrambling after, apologising profusely to everyone.

Meanwhile, Demitri was near heart-attack-stage. "Ack! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! She didn't mean to, really, she didn't! Oh, no! I'll clean that up- oh, please, don't worry about it, I'll get that! Oh! I'm sorry! I'm-" Slip. Fall. Crash. Bang. D00m. "...Ow..."

Sasha, controlling her laughter, patiently asked, "Demitri. You're a mage. Can't you fix this up with magic?"

"...That usually freaks people out..." Demitri informed her from his pained position flat on his back on the floor. He had cracked his head, and he was going to lie there until he thought he could stand up without either vomiting or just dying. "...And now my head hurts..."

"Why would that freak people out?" Sasha was confused. Afterall, the waiters were using their limited abilities to restore order...

"Because people who aren't used to mages generally don't like an excess of magic going on around them." Demitri had stood up and was now helping to clean the mess by hand, completely forgetting the bit where this town was right next to the Guild and everyone in it was probably used to mages at this point.

"Demitri, everyone else is using magic....we aren't off where you've been lately. We're at a resturaunt near the Guild, and completely used to magic."

"Really?" Demitri actually looked around, turned bright red as he realized that she was right, and proceeded to wave a hand and restore everything to its proper order in a milisecond. He sat back down. "Now I feel stupid... I'm sorry..."

"It's fine. I mean, it's not like you're used to using it like that..." Wherever he had been must've been pretty horrid to get him to this state. "Should we go after Norai? Or will she be fine...?"

"Oh, she'll be fine. It's the local rabbits I'm concerned for. And my own sanity," he added, making a face. "She enjoys bringing her kills back and eating them in front of me just to be mean. She's usually sweet, but she likes making fun of my, er, vegetarianism."

"That's pretty cruel. I don't see anyway to not have her do that...well, I could call up Kinny from chasing squirrels to distract her. Would that work? Should I do that?" Norai obviously was more than just a smart and cute ball of fluff.

"...She might change size and eat him..."

"Change...size?" Now it was Sasha's turn to look completely confused.

"Oh, I didn't say. Norai can change size, for about ten minutes at a time. The size that you saw is just the standard. She can be the size of a newborn miniature kitten- very small- all the way up to the size of a horse. And she gets mad if people bother her while she's hunting. Or dogs."
