Before being married, it was traditional for the bride to visit with a group of close friends in her room. Since the bride was Amaranth, nearly every female in the Guild was invited. She had only recently finished the month of staying with Uni in the town- Uni was here now, looking sufficiently (pregnantly) hormonal to scare anyone- so the room didn't really feel like hers... And it wouldn't be, for much longer. Amaranth stared at herself in the mirror. "He is really going to marry me..." she said, sounding astonished. Ceredin reached over and patted her on the head. "Yes, dear, that is why you're wearing the dress."

"Amaranth, you look absolutely beautiful!" Jeni said, smiling at her from the doorway as she had just come down to see Amaranth before the wedding. She looked around at all the girls gathered. Arya and Lena were there with Tazin and Neya, all dressed very nicely, excited for the wedding.

"Oh!" Amaranth said, turning to look at her, looking extremely dazed. "Th-thank you! Oh, goodness... You look lovely, too! Um. I am so worried... What if I... do something wrong?!" Ceredin stared at her. "All you have to do is stand there, look pretty, and say 'I do' at the right point." "Not that complicated," Ary agreed. Somehow she had met Amaranth two days earlier and been convinced into coming. "But... but what if he decides that he does not really wish to marry me?!" "Stop being stupid."

"Thank you." Jeni replied, looking at her own dress for a moment. "Yes, stop being silly." She echoed, flashing Amaranth a smile. "The boy is absolutely crazy about you! Believe me! There's no way he wouldn't want to marry you!" She assured.
Zeth was in his own room, looking in a mirror. His hair in particular. It always looked the same, the messy, choppy brown hair of his. There was no way he could do anything with it. He shrugged it off though as he fix his bow tie- making sure it was on right. Actually, he had made sure it was on right about five times already. Calme down! He told himself, trying to be calm. It was only working slightly. He was nervous. He couldn't believe it was his wedding day. But, even though he was nervous, he was still unbelievably happy. He smiled to himself, thinking of Amaranth lovingly, anxious to see her walk down the aisle. She would probably look even more beautiful than ever. Though, he always thought she looked beautiful.

Amaranth fidgeted uncomfortably, which wasn't helping the state of her hair, with which she couldn't do much since it was so short. So she had simply trimmed her bangs shorter- she had to be able to see- and combed it out. Now it was looking a bit damaged from all the fidgeting and worrying. "Oh, I am sorry," she said, fixing it hastily, "But I am simply so nervous... I still cannot figure out why he wants to marry me at all..." Ceredin and Ary rolled their eyes simultaneously. Ary had only known Amaranth for two days, but it seemed as though she had known her forever... Amaranth did that to people.

((Pwetty dress, and I like the ocean part.... ^^))
Rowena was nervous about being the same room as Amaranth, because Aene was with her. To put it nicely, Aene was a bit of a snob, and something like a wedding was sure to make her snobbier. "You really do look lovely," said Rowena, her voice betraying her nervousness. "How beautiful, Miss Amaranth," said Aene. Inside, she was burning with jealousy. Just look at that dress! What she wouldn't give to be in one just like it.

"Oh, thank you!" Amaranth said, blushing a very vivid silver. Most people thought her blush incredibly odd, but dragons had silver blood, so so did Amaranth... "You look very pretty, too!" she replied. She wasn't sure what to say to Aene, because even she could detect a slight edge of coldness in her voice... "Thank you! Thank you very much!" she settled on.

"Really Amaranth, you look stunning. And I'm sure he wouldn't of asked you if he didn't truely mean it." Arya piped in, Lena nodding in agreement. "Exactly!" Jeni added. "There are a universe of reasons why Zeth wants to marry you!"

"Oh..." Amaranth looked down, wishing that she could think of some of these reasons that everyone else somehow knew about. "Okay..." She brightened up. "But I am very excited! I only wish that I was not so nervous..."

"I think that everyone gets nervous on their wedding day. It's natural." Jeni said with a small laugh. "I bet Zeth is freaking out too right now." She said with a grin. "And I'm excited as well. As I'm sure everyone here is. It's a wedding! It should be exciting and happy!"

"Um... yes... It should be..." Amaranth was still worried. "But what if he no longer wishes to be married to me tomorrow?!" Ceredin strangled an invisible Incarnation of Frustration in front of her, and Ary sighed. "Calm down, Amaranth," she said. "It'll be fine."

Arya and Lena shared a look, playfully rolling their eyes. "Yes, it will be very fine!" Jeni reassured. "He'll want to marry you tomorrow, and the day after that and the day after that. And every day that he spends alive and after." She added to make her point.

"Oh..." Amaranth took a second course of advanced foot-study. "I am sorry... I should not be complaining... I am very happy! Very, very happy! I hope that you are right."

"Good!" Jeni said, smiling widely and clapping her hands together. "You should be happy. You're going to remember this wonderful day for the rest of your life!"
