Ash was incredibly bored.
So she was outside, shooting arrows at targets.
Okay, so every fifth one missed, but she was working on it...
In any case, she was BORED!
BORED BORED BORED BORED BORED!!!!!

Jikinia ran on the grass of the Parade Ground with Flitz riding her back. It was ripe in the afternoon, and the sun was set perfectly in the center of the sky, it's heat radiating warmly on the nature and practicing, bored, people. Flitz was bored as well. She was getting drowsy, what with having spent most of her morning stuck in her room, playing with the air. She begged Jikinia to take her out and practice with her, and here they were. Outside. Ready to practice... something. There wasn't many people out here, but Jikinia spotted someone shooting arrows at a target and galloped over, her own bow in hand. When they approached the girl, Flitz jumped off from her spirit's back and smiled at her.
"You seem bored!" she said cheerfully.

Ash turned and stared at the pair.
"Oh," she said after a moment of blank silence. "Hello!" She was silent for a few more moments. "Oh, right. Hi! Yeah. I'm bored. Are you bored? I'm bored. Reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaally REALLY bored."

Flitz smiled at Ash.
"Yeah. I'm very bored... She stuck her hand out, offering the oh-so ceremonious shaking of hands... ceremony... that people do when they meet. "I'm Flitz," she told the other girl.
Jikinia, as polite as ever, crossed her bow over her chest and dipped a front leg. "And I'm Jikinia. A Centaur, as you can guess." She smiled and stood up to her full Centaur-ish height.
"Yes," said Flitz. She could feel a sugar-rush comming on. "I'm very bored, and hyper."

"Oh, right. I'm Ash. And bored. But only the first one is my name. Nice to meet you!" She grinned idiotically. "Hi! Again. I wish I was hyper. But I have had sugar, so I am calm."

"I haven't had any sugar yet," replied Flitz. "I'm just excited about having an action-packed day." She smiled again, her fingers twitching by her sides, just itching to fight a big monster... for some reason.
"You've got some talent," said Jikinia, pointing at the target.

"Me?" Ash looked from the centaur to the target to the centaur again. "Pfft. You're crazy. I've just got a whole lot of dumb luck!" This was said very cheerfully.

Jikinia looked at Ash, a little confused.
"So!" started Flitz in a high-pitched voice. "What would you like to do to become un-bored?" She smiled hugely and her plum-purple eyes seemed to almost glow.

Jikinia tilted her head to one side, wondering if she was serious. Luckily, she was prepared for some extent of craziness, being bonded with Flitz and all, who was very hyper alot of the time.
Flitz giggled. "Seriously? That would be fun. Unless you had something else in mind...?"

"You two have fun with that," the Centaur laughed, and readied her bow for some target practice.
"Okay then," said Flitz, but she hesitated. She had never done this before. "Er..." She looked at Ash, a little dumb founded.

Ash, who had decided not to waste a moment waiting, was now spinning in circles, arms flung out, squealing happily.
She had, fortunately, managed to remember to put her bow and arrows aside in case she fell over.

Flitz did not object to spinning, but she'd scream later. For now, she settled with humming a tune from her childhood. As she spun, her arms were out, and her hands hung lifelessly. Her hair whirled about her and her head lulled back. She closed her eyes against the glare of the sun, humming and spinning away happily.
