"How terribly exciting." They were in the park now. It was deserted, but the hair on the back of Quynh's neck rose with the feeling that someone was watching... Probably nothing.

"I don't think you should try it." Damn... Who the hell was there?! Her eyes took in everything, but she came up with nothing.

((No sig, dear. ^-^ And your avi doesn't work..))
"My apologies." Oh. So it was them. She sensed the rather distinctive work of their resident mage. Well, they shouldn't be too much of a problem, so long as they hadn't learned anything new and Adair didn't get in her way if they insisted on fighting.

"Excuse me for a moment," Quynh said, and then turned to the path behind them. "Hello, loves," she said brightly. "How are we today?" All right, now she was talking to an empty path. "Oh, come, now, no need for the silly little games, I know very well that you're there." Okay, so where did the random, very angry-looking mob come from? Well, it was only five people, but they gave off the feeling that they were a mob, and about as collectively intelligent as one. "Well," said one, who appeared to be the ringleader. "If i'isn' th'Collective bitch." "Oh, no need for profanities, gentlemen. Oh, Adair, love, be a dear and go on. I'll catch up in a few minutes, after I've done my community service for the day."

"No, sorry," Quynh said, waving a hand in his direction. She was behaving very oddly. "You'll have to leave, I'm afraid. Right now."

"Just leave, please, or I'll have to teleport you out, and a solo teleport if you're not the mage is no fun at all."

"Fine..." Adair sighed, walking off and then hiding in a spot she'd never know of to watch.

"So," the scruffy man drawled, fingering his sword hilt and smirking at Quynh, who looked, frankly, bored. "Wha's a murderin' bitch like you doin' on our turf?" "Murdering? Oh, silly me, I seem to have forgotten. Yes, your mage. Your old mage. Well, it isn't exactly like I had a choice, since he was trying to kill me. But I don't need to explain myself to the likes of you. As for this 'turf' being yours? I feel no need to even voice my opinions on that. Oh, and you stink. Soap, it's a wonderful new invention." "Shu' up, girl, whiles we figger out whatta do with ya." "Oh, dear. Bad grammar. I'm terrified. Now, scum, leave and perhaps I won't have to hurt you." The man flushed angrily, and his subordinates muttered among themselves. "Are you going to attack me? Oh, dearie me. I suppose I should have brought my sword, then... Oh, look! I have a dagger. A teeny little dagger. Well, it should be good enough for you."
