"Oh, nothing special." Tazin replied with a small wave of her hand. "I just grew up, an only child, with my parents. It wasn't to exciting. And I never learned to fight, the only thing I ever learned was from my friend. She taught me a few things. I wasn't any good at any of them either." She said with a small laugh. "The thing I was best at was throwing knives and daggers, and I still wasn't very good."

"Oh. Well, like I suggested, I could give you lessons on the Art of Combat." He smiled. "Free of charge, remember? I mean, you'll need practice with weapons. You can't keep going around breaking swords in half..." Raph gave a nother smirk, rubbing his chin, which had beard hairs.

"Yes I do remember. And I'll be looking foreword to it." Tazin said, flashing him a smile, still a bit embarassed by the sword breaking thing. "I still can't believe I did that. I really don't know how it happened! It's not exactly common for it to just break!"

"I know, I know..." He went to go check on the sword, letting his hand hover above the silver. "It's almost ready," he said, kind of hesitantly. He didn't want to stop talking with Tazin; she was very interesting and cute.

"Oh, that's good." Tazin said happily. However, she didn't want to leave just yet, she really enjoyed talking with Raphael. "So, have you ever met anyone else who just so happened to break a sword in half?" She asked, wondering if she was just 'that special,' as Reppu had teased her earlier.

"Ermm...." Raphael pretended to think really hard. "Nope, can't say I have? You must know, it's really rare for something like this to happen..." He smirked again.

"That's what she said." Tazin said, pointing over at the Kami. "She said she had never seen anything like it either. And, she refused to believe it was the fault of her precious sword, she's convinced it was all me." She said with a laugh.

Raphael went to check on the sword, and it was cool enough that it left only a little bit of warmth. He put it in a silver sheath and wrapped it in leather, placing it ceremoniously on the counter before him. He ws thinking about how her sword could have broken. "Maybe, combined with lack of skill," Raphael started, "the angle at which you struck your enemy's armor could have ruined your sword. Or it could have also been his armor." He stared at her for a long moment when he said this. "Here," he said, pushing the wrapped sword toward her. "It's still a bit warm, but it should be more than cooled by tomorrow morning. So, when do you want to start your lessons? I could also show you some tricks I made up myself."

"Thank you!" Tazin said, taking the sword with pleasure. She thought about his question for a moment, putting a finger to her cheek in thought. "Well... actually.. I have some free time right now if you wouldn't mind?" She asked him.

"Not at all... I'll get a spare sword for you to use while yours cools." With that he took another silver sword that had no jewels, but was useful for practice, and he handed it to her. "Follow me," he said eagerly, and walked to the front of his shop, taking her hand in his and leading her to the back and out to a yard that had boxes and such lined against the back outside wall of his shop.

"Ok." Tazin said happily, taking the temporary sword. She was surprised when he took her hand and lead her out of the shop, it sent a small shiver down her spine. But, she wasn't complaining. "So, where are we going?" She asked curiously as she saw the various boxes and crates.

"Right here," he said and stopped in the middle of the yard. "Okay... First you need a good, firm stance." He demonstrated by bending his knees with his feet far apart, planted on the ground facing outward.
((I was going to use an Iroh quote... but I forgot it. And I don't know much on stances so um... Yeah.))

"Ok, like this?" Tazin asked, standing as he did with her knees bent and feet apart.

Raphael thought that she looked a little awkward, but it would do. "Yes... like that," he told her. "Now, take your sword and let's practice some ordinary moves."

Tazin nodded, taking the sword in her right hand and holding it out in front of her, waiting for further instruction. Reppu was sitting on a nearby roof, watching the lesson.
