((Any Collective charries welcome. ^^ If anyone makes charries -guy or girl- about Tessa's age, I'd be grateful.))
She slowed, still dressed in her soft gray dress from the wedding. It was now unrecognizable- tattered and torn from thorns, it had been reduced by much. But it seved as an excellent camoflauge, and she blended into the mountain rocks, only her black hair a smudge against the stone...
She knew she was getting close to the Colletive, and stopped a moment to rest, Oyam the dagger silent from her sheath. But she couldn't stp long, or she would begin to regret her decision...Naja rose tothe tip[ of her mind, and gold eyes began to burn with acid tears. She'd had to leave him- they woudl for sure have tortured him for information, and the stallion wasn't used to pain. Even the Collective knew when training you didn't abuse an animal; you had to earn their trust first. The tears began to travel the length of er cheeks before splashing on the ground, but after a couple of moments she gave a final sniffle before wiping her eyes dry.
It would do her no good to come into the Collective crying.
Tessa cleared her face of no emotion before settingo ut on her hike, the immense power of evil tasting bitter on her tongue. She was close...a small fir lit in the palm of her hand to signal she was there.

"Whatcha doin'?" asked a rather frighteningly sweet voice from right behind the girl.
Eris grinned at her.
"You knowwwwwww..." she said, twisting a strand of blonde hair around her finger, "You shouldn't be out here, little oooooone.... It's dangerous! You might get a booooo-boooooooo..."

It was an lamost immediate change came over her, and her yellow eyes glinted fiercely.
"Hullo, Eris. Still the pet of our dear leader?" she taunted, baiting the agent.

"Come now Eris, don't scare her." Casrina appeared, her head to one side, and Za clinging to the back of her robes.
"It isn't good to frighten the children." The priestess laughed harshly, and from Behind her, Za gave Tessa a small smile as if to say, 'don't be afraid.'

"Yuuuuuuup!" Eris trilled, ignoring the taunt with a malicious glint in her eye. "You still groveling with your nose in the dirt at the foot of the person who's most convenient?"

"Most convenient?" she tossed aside the insult carelessly. "I know where I'm needed and where I'm not. And, sadly to say, the Guild turned out to not be such a great idea afterall. Except I did bond to some 'high-ranking' spirit. Oyam, out."
The Shade appeared disgruntled and shooting Za a bit of a curious look. I like pie. she then cheerfully said.
Tessa sighed. "Unfortunatley, she is a bit of an airhead, depsite her power...My father still upset I left?"

Eris shrugged. "None o' my buisiness," she said cherfully. "I just make the gadgets and perform lovely experiments. Don't you love my little subjects? I'm sure you've met them, Tessa."

"Oh yes dear. You've been a real... loss." Casrina's smile was taughting. Za's eyes flared red, and she made a face at the shade, cackling like her bonded.
"Shush."
"Yes Mi'lady..." Smiling her sickly smile, Casrina raised an eyebrow.
"You bonded? That means that that wrench Jilath likes you. Why'd you come running back here?"

She bristled for a moment, sparing Eris a distasteful glare.
"I'm sure you missed testing morep oisons on me," she said, her voice as acid as the tears she had cried earlier.
"In case you're wondering, I'm still resilient to them. Your efforts weren't a /total/ loss."
"Maybe I confused her. Maybe she was mistaken. All I know is that /I/ most definitely did not want to bond to Oyam. But she can be useful."
