Only quite sure? I'm positive, Idena said, raising an eyebrow.

Amori shrugged. Quite sure sounds more ominous, and fancier...

You two are odd. Zeyan chuckled.

People have told us that, yes. Idena said, sounding rather bored. But I still stand by what we said. You're lonely, and you don't know how to cope with females. She stood up, and brushed off her skirt. What if I was to do this? She darted forward, and kissed him lightly on the cheek, before dodging away to quickly for even a vampire to catch her. She winked at Amori as she sat down. It was an old trick, the two of them doing this.... they hadn't done it in a while. How would you react?

Zeyan just sputtered happily despite himself.

My point. Idena commented, rolling her eyes, and leaning against the stump 'Mori was sitting on. You're over four-hundred, you should be able to handle a little kiss. If I was your friend, I'd do that in greeting. You wouldn't splutter every time I saw you, would you?

While Idena was distracting Zeyan, Amori had hopped from her perch to do the same as she had, kissing him lightly on the other cheek before ducking behind him and a few paces away. Obviously he can't...meaning he has never really been around the female race. You haven't, have you? Didja kill those off that you did just for a drink?

Zeyan shook the daze from his mind, though he still was blushing a bit. "No, I only drink the blood of those who attack me or who I find dead, the only times i've ever killed for food is when i'm starving, and then never women or children, only male warriors of the collective who seem so bent on killing me." He told them honestly.

Idena, seriously confused now, for Zeyan hadn't spoken with his mind, looked at Amori. What did he say?

"Oh, sorry, I wasn't paying attention, please forgive me, I said I only drink the blood of those who attack me or who I find dead, the only times i've ever killed for food is when i'm starving, and then never women or children, only male warriors of the collective who seem so bent on killing me." He repeated for her, slightly embarassed he had forgotten to speak telepathically.

And why are they so bent on killing you? Amori asked slyly, coming around to sit where she had before, and looking utterly bored at the world. And how come you aren't with the Collective? Isn't Vintaph the God of Blood, which is completely your genre? She smirked. Score for her!

Idena had started giggling after Zeyan had apologized. It was so easy to make males embarrassed, and it seemed no different for vampires. She was rather surpised how easy it had been. After fourhundred years, you'd think that any male would get used to the idea of females. It's because he wants to take over the Collective, and the current leader doesn't like that, does he? Idena could put two and two together to make four. She preferred it when they equaled fish, but four worked too.

Zeyan couldn't even bring himself to deny it. "Clever girl." he said with an approving grin.

But you are bound to Vintaph, right? I always heard -in the legends and such- that vampires didn't come around until after him, because he created the first... WHich made sense, too. Seeing with the whole blod thing, which was very creepy.

Zeyan actually laughed at this. "Vintaph? Create something like vampires? The fool can barely create his spirits, you have to realize, as far as gods go, Vintaph and Jilath are mere children, vampires came from a god much more powerful than Vintaph many many years ago, far far before even the nuclear war so long ago."
