Clearly another part-horse. Or something. Some sort of girl who could change from girl to horse and back. She didn't look like one of Eris', though. For one thing, what experiment of Eris would break in? Obviously, she knew Navek. And she wasn't very happy with him. His girlfriend? Perhaps. What was she so angry about? Thistlen glanced nervously at the door, wondering if Eris had heard the crash, but no one ran in and started screaming, so it was probably okay. Well, they were probably safe from Eris. For the moment. She retrained her attention on the girl.

You! she hissed, definitely recognising him even in that form. What are you doing /here/? The unmistakable eyes were scorching as they bored into Navek, and her hair fizzled with small flames, threatening to catch on fire at any moment. For a moment she was a girl, and the literaly next second a very strange horse. Fortunately, there was enough room for all of them. But unfortunately, Ally decided to shove into Navek instead. Ramming him from the side and shoving him sideways, she continued to rant. It's been WEEKS and you haven't come back to the Guild. You IDIOT. Why did you even come here in the first place? AND WHAT IN THE NAME OF JILATH HAPPENED TO YOU? Her mane and tail burst into flames, and she slammed into him again before remaining still, flanks heaving. Then, snorting, was two-legged again, her hair as normal as it would be. The queer eyes screamed murder towards Navek, and irritably she tucked her arms into her sleeves, from both cold and to keep herself from doing any more damage.

Oh. Right. The whole gone-for-weeks thing. But why was she so angry? Why not worried? He clearly hadn't left of his own will.

Navek stummbled sideways, the force from her hit was a but more than he expected. Of course, he didn't return any of his frustration physically. And just what do you think you're doing? Do you want Eris to hear you? He asked, his tail flicking in aggitation as he righted himself, getting back to a normal standing position. At least give me a chance to explain before you decide to attack me! It's not like I asked to be here for weeks! Do you really think I'm here by choice? Eris basically kidnapped me, though I was a bit stupid for believing her, but anyway, she experimented on me and now... well.... you can clearly see I' a horse. He told her, sounding frustrated.

Still backed up against a wall, Thistlen blushed dully. She was, after all, partially responsible for his being stuck here... ...and, therefore, for his being attacked by this... random horse-girl... ...who was rather frightening... and clearly at least partially insane... Oh, no... With all this yelling, Eris was sure to hear. She glanced at the door again. Maybe she could go and stall so that Navek could have a little, erm, chat...

Tessa discreetly left, having no wish of being trampled underfoot. Although the new girl was human at the moment -and Tessa envied how the other Changed and kept her clothes- there was no way of knowing. Plus she could have the same reaction as Navek.... I don't know who the hell Eris is, but she cannot hear me! DO you think I'm randomly blasting thoughts into the minds of EVERYONE? No, only you two -weren't there three?- can hear me. She shook her hair impatiently as if it were a mane and she a horse. A BIT stupid?!? In the name of Jilath....IDIOT! It is your fault, and you wouldn't be stuck here or like that if you hadn't goen to the Mountains in the first place! And you're leaving, right now! Ally glared at him, odd eyes flaring. Change back. Now. He didn't have too much of a choice....she was forcing him with magic and mentally. Once we're out the window, you can Change back to what you are now.

Thistlen finally spoke up. "He- he can't go..." she said, nervously. "It- it's not h-his fault... Er... E-Eris... owns him now... She doesn't let us leave..." This was a long speech for Thistlen, and she quickly shut her mouth. Jadin had disappeared, as she often did when there was trouble somewhere else that she had to take care of. Or when she was hungry. So Thistlen was alone in the face of this... person...

Navek snorted. And since when did I start following your orders? He retorted. It was a stupid thing to say, and he realized this after he said it. He really did want to leave, it's not like this was some awesome vacation or anything. It's just that he didn't really like being bossed around. He never followed orders. But, to question Ally at this present time was just stupid. And really, it's only partly my fault. It's not like I knew who she was. Do you honestly think I would've come if I had known what was going to happen. 'Oh look! It's Eris, the crazy scientist for the Collective who will keep my hostage and splice my DNA. I guess I'll trust her!'" He said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. Then he too quickly glanced apprehensively at the door. And Thistlen's right. If I leave right now, Eris could very possibly kill me, or worse.

Since you showed yourself to be a complete fool! she hissed. And it is totally your fault...you chose to follow her, didn't you? You trusted her. It's your own fault this happened to you. Yours. And you think not going back to the Guild will be worse than what happens to you here? She increased the amount she laid into his mind, trying to get him to Change and go.

Oh really? All my fault? Navek argued, trying to defend himself. That's a bit extreme. Actually, a lot of things are extreme with you. 'It's all my fault.' 'All humans are bad.' There are usually exceptions to things like that. Especially those two circimstances. Really, not everything was my fault. But I'm not got to not take any of the blame, I was partly at fault. He finished. Why he was standing there arguing with her instead of maybe trying to escape was a mystery. He just didn't want her to blame him for everything.

Claidi's not bad! retorted Ally. And I'm sorry if you don't agree it's your fault, when YOU were the one who went hiking, YOU were the one who decided to trust Eris when you knew the Collective was nearby, and YOU are the one deciding what's happening next. Are you coming back to the Guild, OR NOT? Her patience was wearing extremely thin, and her hair began to fizzle again, although it didn't go as far as igniting.

He was beginning to question whether he wanted to go back with her or not. He was getting very frustrated. And, when he was frustrated, he tended to make poor decisions. Like earlier when he came here in the first place for example. It was a trait he would need to get rid of. Like that was possible... Well, if you so nicely put it that way, maybe I'll just stay here for a bit. He said, flicking his mane aggitatedly.

So you don't want to go back to the Guild? For some reason, Ally seemed completely cheerful about this. I KNEW it! I bet Myrkur and Fayt and Zel you wouldn't come back. Looks like I won! In truth, nothing of that sort had happened- but reverse psychology was damn useful. The girl turned to leave.

Wait... Navek said, stomping his foot in hesitation. Of course he wanted to go back, it's not like he was enjoying being in the Collective. What a vacation right? And at the mention of his companions, he felt bad that he hadn't seen them in weeks and he missed them, along with everyone else. Did she really make that bet? Should he prove her wrong and go back now? And risk getting killed or something? I do want to go back to the Guild. Don't get me wrong there. And I will go back. Just not right now.

Thistlen watched the proceedings in silence. Selfishly, she didn't want him to leave. It wasn't anything personal, not at all. Thistlen didn't make friends. It was just that Eris was much nicer when there was a new experiment around and it was behaving. When they escaped, she got very angry... And then Thistlen was in trouble. Thistlen didn't like the bad-bad room. It was so very dark, and birds didn't like the dark- they liked it even less than other creatures. It was also enclosed. Cramped. Like a cage. A tiny, tiny cage that closed in while you cowered inside, and grew smaller and smaller and smaller... No, Thistlen did not like the bad-bad room.
