((And to answer your question Avi, no, that was not the entire plot, not by a long shot...))

Calyx came running into the hall wearing just his jester's pants, he had been too tired to change before passing out on his bed, only to be woken up by a loud scream. "What the hell's going on in here?" He asked worriedly, too many people were crouched around the body for him to see it.

Jeni continued to sob, harder now than before, mumbling incoherently. It was impossible. It was insane. This couldn't have happened. She barely even registered the growing number of people entering the room, she couldn't tear her eyes away from Aeos. "The last thing I said to him is that I didn't care if he were dead." She cried hopelessly. She couldn't believe that it was the last words she ever said to him. She was horrified. Three main emotions were taking over. Pain, anger, and regret. She was devestated that Aeos was dead. He was her best friend. And, she had recently come to grips with the fact that she cared about him more than as just a friend as well. She truely regretted what she said to him only just an hour ago. How could she have been so stupid. And she had compleately lied to him. Why didn't she just tell him the truth? And finally, she was furious at how this could've happened. Who did it? Where were they? And how were they going to figure it out. She knew that the killer was still inside the Guild, which meant that people weren't safe.

Fayd tapped Jeni on the shoulder lightly. "Would you like for us to move everyong out of the Guild, Lady Jeni?"

Ignoring Fayd completely, Amaranth looked around the room, and, inexplicably if you didn't know her well, sniffed. Damn. "Ceredin," she said, suddenly. The half-cat looked startled. "What?" "Can you... can you smell anyone?" Ceredin cocked her head, considering. "No," she replied finally. "Other than those of us in the room right now and... that stuff." Amaranth nodded. It was what she had expected. "Neither can I," she said. There were three possiblities: One, it was the smell of blood drowning out the scent of the murderer. Two, the murderer was actually one of them, which wasn't likely, since everyone loved Aeos and there was absolutely no way, in her mind, at least, that anyone could have done this if they actually knew the man. Three... something very strange was going on. Stranger than Aeos being dead. Which was very strange indeed. "Jeni," Amaranth said, now focusing on the Guildmistress. "Jeni. I do not care what arguement the two of you were having- this is not, in any way, your fault. Banish the thought." She knew that Jeni would be thinking it. It is what she herself would be thinking. She stood up. "I am going out of the Hall to see if I can smell anyone," she said. She paused for objections, then swept out.

Serge watched Amaranth and then looked around. "Someone should walk the halls incase this happens again. If no-one objects, I'll do it."

Jeni nodded solemnly to Amaranth. She was thinking it, it was the top thing on her mind. But somewhere in her scattered brain she was thinking logically, and knew that Amaranth spoke the truth. It wasn't her fault. She couldn't have possibly known this would happen. Just because she said that, it didn't kill Aeos. Someone did. And she was determined to find out who it was. She stode up, swaying slightly, tears still stained her cheeks and looked around the room. Nothing else looked disturbed, everything was as they had left it. There was no sign of a struggle or break in. Only Aeos was lying dead at her feet. She wasn't sure what to do, all she knew was that it was her responisbilty to keep everyone safe.
"And I'm going with you." Zeth said to Amaranth and followed her out of the room. It was firm, it was not a request. No way in hell would he have let her wander around alone when someone was in the castle that had killed the Guildmaster.
Jeni watched the pair leave, wondering if she should let them, but at least they were together and less likely to get into trouble. She hoped. She then looked at Serge and Fayd, concidering both of their suggestions. "I'm not sure leaving would be the safest option, outside there could be more danger. But I really don't know." She said, trying to keep her voice under control. "And Serge, I do not want you walking around alone. No one is to go anywhere by themself." She commanded firmly.

Serge nodded at Jeni and then Fayd nodded as well. "Then I'll go with him, Lady Jeni," said Fayd.

Amaranth cast Zeth a disgruntled glance, but didn't argue. She knew that he would insist in coming, and she knew why, because it was the very same reason she didn't want him to come. If whoever had done this could kill Aeos, they would probably be child's play. Wandering around without a huge group- or even with one- someone could get hurt. Neither of them wanted that someone to be the other, so she let it go. If there was the slightest hint of danger, though, it was not going to be him that got hurt. Once out of the door, Amaranth halted and clenched her fists by her side. "I do not care who did this, how powerful they are, or if I die in the process," she hissed, "But I am going to find them, and I am going to kill them." It was a thing that Amaranth would never say under normal circumstances, but these were hardly normal. Jeni's stricken face was fresh in her mind, and it wasn't going away. Whoever did that to Jeni- and to Aeos- was going to pay. Amaranth knew what it felt like to be left behind by someone you loved, and she knew what it felt like to feel that it was your own fault. Now Jeni felt that. Amaranth was going to make sure that the murderer never made anyone feel that ever again.
Ceredin covered her face with her hands. It wasn't very Ceredin-like, but, then again, Ceredin had never actually had to deal with the death of someone she knew in a friendly way before. The only death she'd encountered was the death of people who were trying to kill her or her... well, she had to call them friends, didn't she? Friends. Odd word, really. Odd time to think about it. Ha. She was probably hysterical. This seemed way too funny. Ha ha. She whimpered. She'd never made such a pathetic sound before, but now she did. This was awful. She liked it here. Despite herself, she'd liked Aeos. She liked these people, and now these people were getting hurt. It wasn't herself she was so worried about, it was them, and that confused her. She was a solitary person by nature, and worrying about others, caring for them, was strange. What was she to do...?

Calyx knew what was going on now and he didn't like it one bit. He couldn't believe that Aeos was dead and he was truly sorry about that but he really wasn't worried about that right now. He didn't know if Aeos had been the only one to die and he was casting his eyes around wildly for a certain someone. And there she was standing all alone, near the body, looking like she was on the edge of tears. Calyx practicaklly sprinted across the hall and pulled Ceredin into the biggest hug he'd ever given anything, he didn't care if it would make her mad. "Oh thank god you're alright." He said, holding her to him almost like if he were to let go she would float away and never return. He wasn't crying but tears were deffinitely flowing from his eyes.
( :Psorry, listening to the kind of music that would fir this kind of scene)

Ceredin collected herself enough to glare at him. About to make the usual death threat, she decided that this was not the time. That would possibly be the worst thing to do. Of course, she too had been afraid of the same thing- it was impossible to tell the difference between screams when you were half asleep (cats fell asleep very quickly) and extremely confused, and (being half asleep), the worst possibility personally had immediately jumped to mind. Instead, she said, "You're kinda squishing me, Calyx."

"Deal with it." He said happily as he squished her a little more. As soon as he had seen Aeos' body, his mind had conjured up that same image but with Ceredin on the ground instead of Aeos and replayed itself a million times in his head. It had been literally driving him insane until he had wrapped his arms around the real Ceredin.

Ceredin looked disgusted with the display of affection, but did, in fact, deal with it. Without physically injuring him, it was highly doubtful that she would get him off of her.
((Be back soon.))

Calyx just stayed latched on to Ceredin. It would probably take something along the lines of a very powerful bomb to seperate them. "Cerey is alive, my Cerey-werey is alive." he said happily in a sing song voice. He was so happy that he had accidently revealed the pet name he had always called her in his head.
