"Oh, yes! I would smile more, but it seems to hurt my face..." Amaranth assured him- or tried to- waving a hand at him to dismiss the matter. Ow. Okay, from now on, no moving the arm. Now she was sure that a rib was broken. Oh, well! She'd take care of it later.
Oh, right! She couldn't fly, and Changing when she couldn't fly would only get her killed faster, but she wasn't completely helpless! She always wore the feathered clip in her hair, and if necessary, she could yank some feathers out of her ears. She pulled a feather from the clip, stumbling backward away from the possessed tiger (it was one of Eris' pampered pets, so she felt badly about attacking it since it was generally a friend). Holding the feather in front of her, face, she leapt suddenly backward so that she had enough space, and then blew on the feather. At first, it just bent limply in the slight breeze, but then it stiffened against it, and slowly turned silver, hardening into shape. It wasn't much of a weapon, but it was something. Steel feathers, with edges sharp as razorblades. One of Eris' little crazy ideas. Well, in this case, it was going to help her. "Sorry," she said to the tiger, and attacked.

"Oh, ok." Zeth said, smiling at her. He wouldn't want her to be in pain, ever. And he did notice the extensive bruises and cuts. As well as the tips of her ears. "Would you like to get any of those healed a little bit more?" He asked, thinking they must be at least a little painful.
Running and thinking. Luckiy, it was fairly easy to to do at the same time. Unless of course you get lost in thought and forget about just where you are running to or to watch where you are going. Which, of course, Navek did a few times which almst resulted in his running smack into a tree, or a bush, or anything else that could possibly get in your way. And he did trip a few times, even when he was paying attention. Roots were hard to see in the dark.

"Oh, no, do not trouble yourself. I shall take care of them later."
((Sorry, didn't have enough time for Thistlen this morning, here she is))
Thistlen jumped back, shocked. The moment she had attacked, the tiger's eyes had lost its glow and it had become as docile as it usually was. The Wisp had left? She knew that it was easily frightened, but was it that terrified of being hurt, even in a host's body? Strange... A horrible thought struck her. What if it was- no, it wouldn't try that. Famous last words. It hit the left side of her head, where she'd missed in trying to remove the chip, the side she'd kept hidden so that the far-too-much-blood wouldn't be visible so no one would worry (she hadn't understood why it had occured to her that someone might worry, it just had... probably Jadin's influence), where she was most vulnerable. A creeping numbness. Oh. Shit.

"If you're sure." Zeth said, not wanting to argue with her. Besides, it wasn't like she was going to just drop to the floor and die from a few cuts anyway.
Navek really felt like killing something as he growled from his position on the ground. "Stuipd root!" He yelled out of frustration as he kicked at it and freed his foot. It had been the third one he'd tripped on. The first two times he had tripped, but caught himself before falling. However, this time he hadn't been as lucky and wound up on the ground, cursing and hurting slighly. After several more curses were yelled from his mouth he got up and continued in the dirrectio he was going, but at a slightly slower pace, hoping to forgo anymore painful falls.

"I am. Please do not worry."
One side was no longer in Thistlen's control. And it was violently attacking the other side. It looked very odd, since one hand was keeping the other from punching her in the eye. "Ow, ow, ow, ow, OWWWWWWWWWW!" Thistlen's side of her mouth squealed as the claws of the hand the Wisp was controlling dug into the same palm. Apparently, she could still feel it perfectly. It was all because she was half bird, which made her completely animal, since humans are half-animal anyway. The Wisp was getting more and more control, and this was about to be a big problem.

"Ok, ok." Zeth replied, giving her a small smile. He'd been given that answer to many times to argue with it.
Ok, almost there. Navek tried to tell himself as he continued through the forest, dodging trees and jumping over rocks and roots. Almost there. At least he hoped. Things were starting to look familiar. Well, as familiar as a forest could be. It was all trees and the like. That rock is oddly shaped. He noted as he ran past it, seeing the odd silloette in the dark. And he was sure he'd seen it sometime before. Well, he would definately rememebr it from here on out.

Amaranth almost smiled, and then remembered that it wasn't a good idea, and didn't.
Thistlen shrieked, and then Cied took over. Okay, it thought. I should go after the experiments, right? Mine would be angry if she lost them... So it took Thistlen's body into a run after Navek.

"Would you like to rest?" Zeth asked, thinking she might need a good rest, even though he had no idea what she'd even been through.
Did he hear a shriek? No, it was just his imagination playing tricks on him. Him and his sometimes annoyingly keen animal senses. Which included a heightened hearing, among others. So, Navek really didn't dwell on it as he continued thorugh the forest, still going at his slightly slower pace.

"I am fine, but perhaps I should, so that I can-" she stopped. Even she wasn't going to say she was going back to working tomorrow.
Cied had caught up with the half-horse. What was his name, again? it asked itself. Oh. Right. "Navek!" it called, using Thistlen. If it could get him to slow down some more...

It was probably a good thing Amaranth hadn't finished her sentence, otherwise Zeth would've strongly prtested against it. "I think you should. It will probably be good to get a good night's sleep. I don't know where you've been, but it doesn't look like you've slept well for a while."
Navek immediately stopped, a bit surprised to hear Thistlen's voice. Not to mention immensly relieved. "Thistlen!" He called happily, grinning at her in the dark as he turned to face her. "I'm very glad to see you're alright and you took care of the Whisp."

"Oh, well, it is not that... bad... Er..."
Cied drew back Thistlen's hand and slashed out at his face. Somehow, though, Thistlen seized control for a moment and jumped back before she could hit him. But then Cied was in control again and ready to attack.

"Well, bad or not, it's never a bad thing to sleep. Sleep is nice." ((XP))
"Thistlen?! What the heck was that for?" Navek asked, jumping backwards to avoid her attack. Something was definately not right. He stood defensively, staring at her, ready if she were to attack him again, trying to figure out what had happened.

"Um... yes, it is...?" Had her husband gotten strange while she was away? ((XP right back atcha))
Cied narrowed Thistlen's eyes and hissed, and attacked again, bounding forward and kicking him in the chest with both feet, before jumping back again. Cied was not very brave.

Yeah, Zeth realized that that probably wasn't the smartest thing he had ever said. Oh well, at least he had said more unintelligent things in his life. "Errr... yeah." He replied. "Forget I just said that."
Navek winced, intaking a sharp and quick gasp for air. Jeeze that had hurt. And he wasn't expecting it. What the hell is going on?! He thought, watching her carefully. Thistlen wouldn't attack me. What happened when she was battling the Whisp.... THE WHISP! He finally thought, a bit frightened by his realization. It possesses animals! And she's part bird! Shit. Now, the question was, how he going to remove the pest.

((Er, Jen, by the by, you're spelling 'Wisp' wrong. XP No 'h'.))
Cied flinched. 'The original' was trying to regain control, and it hurt. Stop it! it ordered. Get out! No! Well, I'm not leaving you alone!
