Oh great, what did I say now... Nevak thought to himself, realizing that he had said something wrong and offensive as he noticed her sudden change in attitude. I'm sorry. He apologizing, cantering slightly to catch up to her. I didn't mean it like that. Honestly. I only said that because she did it against my will and I had no say in the matter. I should've said 'used me for an experiment,' not, 'turned me into an animal.' Sure, that's what she did, but I'm not angry about that, only that I was used for some crazy experiment. He tried to explain.

Right. That's exactly what you meant. Still completely closed off, she was surprised at the fact that she didn't feel angry, just hurt. And completely bitter.

Huh? Navek questioned, a bit confused by her response. And she sounded very bitter about it. Yes. That's what I meant. It just came out wrong the first time. And for that, like I said, I'm sorry.

She made no answer, retracting further into herself. Ally had no clue how to respond: she knew he was telling the truth, but in some way that hurt more. Maybe because she was realizing that he had never meant any harm to her, although she had assumed he had. And then taken out her anger on him. Sorry, she thought-whispered, sounding terrified.

It's alright. I can understand why I made you angry. Navek replied casually. It had actually surprised him that she had apologized, he hadn't been expecting that. In all the time he'd known her, he'd heard some very... interesting, remarks and comments and he had noticed her very unique way of looking at things. And he had never really heard her say 'sorry.' Maybe, he thought with a slight metal grin, her extremely tough exterior was beginning to wear down a bit.

((-starts laughing- I'm sorry, but his description of her.... -snickers- It's perfect-))
Now she was scared. And completely confused. He hadn't turned aside her apology. Briefly, but so briefly she almost didn't know it was there, Ally felt a spark of happiness. Which hadn't been something she had felt in forever. Quickly relief wiped it out, and carefully, she said, Yes. Sorry. Jilath. How much more like a parrot could she get. Repeat, repeat, repeat....

((XD))
Another apology. Wow, that was even more unexpected by the first. Navek grinned to himself as he trailed slightly behind her. You're apology is most definately accepted. He told her happily, now thinking that his previous thought of wearing down her shell was definately true.

((-shakes head- Poor Ally....))
Ally was silent, slowing down as she trotted through a stream. Okay, she said, miffed. What was she supposed to do!? This was embaressing, and it made her a bit miserable....

Navek follwered her through the stream. Almost tripping. Again. On a rock in the bottom. But he did manage to catch himself before falling into the water. Luckily. The bigger you are, the heavier you fall. That wouldn't have been fun. He vaguily wondered how far they were as he continued to trot through the quiet forest.

((Sorry for not replying sooner! >.< I honestly thought I had posted, but it must not have gone through....))
She almost snorted at is clumsiness, but didn't, just continuing to push forward. Ally didn't really have anything to say. Correction: she did, but she didn't know what to say. And then she stumbled herself. Ally winced. Hadn't she just thought of Navek's clumsiness?

((That's ok!))
You alright? Navek said, trotting up next to her after she had stummbled. Of course, she looked fine, I mean, how many times had he done that... but, anyway, he thought it would be betetr to ask than to ignore. Besides, the slightly tense silence had been bothering him a bit.

She shook her mane irritably. I'm fine! she snapped. Just because Ally had had a change of heart did not mean she was perfectly civil.

Okkaayy. Navek replied, backing off a bit. That was obviously the Ally he was used to. And he would keep in mind to refrain from asking stupid questions.

((O.o Random, but does he even know Ally is her name yet? I can't remember...^^'))
She whisked her tail impatiently, wishing he were as easily brushed away as flies were. Unfortunately, it was winter, and he wasn't a fly. He was like he- No. Not like her. Never like her. That was too disconcerting of a thought. Well, I only think it'll be another few hours... she said quickly, although there was a note of uncertainty in her voice.

((...I can't remember either.... ^^;; Your call, as to whether he does or not.))
Navek picked up on the bit of uncertainty. However, he was glad that they were getting closer and would be home in a few hours. Which also meant at the same time they were continually putting more distance in between them and the Collective. That's good to hear. He said. Though, you didn't sound so confident about it... He couldn't help but ask, probably breaking his own newly established rule of not asking stupid questions or making dumb comments...
