Shades of Darkness

Well.
She was here.
Her old room....it hadn't changed much in the three hundred years she'd been gone.
Neither really had the rest of the Guild.
But she could tell seasons had passed, and it made her weary. Already Era felt like she had seen too much. Just too much. Not too much battle and blood, but too much of everything in general...even happiness and love.
And there was no release from it.
She ran a hand through her pink hair, setting her stuff on the the bed. Really, she had no clue why she'd always been palced in the healer's ward, when Era definitely knew she was more of a scientist, but....

((Someone please post? I don't care what char, but preferably not utterly happy....I haven
t really roelplayed Era yet, so we'vejust met. I don't know how she'd react to someone suremely happy. Anyone got a char that's semi-normal? Not Crono normal, but Guild typical normal?))

Demitri knocked on Era's door.
"Hello," he called cheerfully. "I heard that you had just arrived, and I was wondering if you needed any help settling in..."

Joy.
Fifteen minutes into the Guild, and already someone cheerful, and less aware of the world, had come to torment her. Saulin poked his head from behind a pack, staying painfully silent. Era through him a bit of a look, before sighing heavil and calling, "Come on in."

[Amaranth]

((You just like tormenting your characters...))

Demitri opened the door and entered.
"Hello," he said again, brightly. "I'm Demitri. Have you been to the Guild before?"

((I do! But it's fun to put them in more awkward circumstances, and alot more fun to roleplay.))

"Yep," she said with almost no emotion, opening up some random bag and pulling out clothes, which were folded away neatly into a dresser. She kept her eyes on her work, not offering a name or any sort of reason for her being here.
Saulin, however, was bright-eyed and curious. The winged snake slipped from the small bed to the floor, looking up at Demitri. He doesn't look wierd...

[Amaranth]

"Erm..." For one, Demitri wasn't sure whether she had said she'd been here or not, and for another, he wasn't sure what to do or say now. Then he spotted Saulin.
So... cute...
Demitri was not your normal man. He loved cute things as much as any female. And Saulin was most definitely cute.
Demitri crouched and stared back at Saulin.
"Oh, hello there," he said.

[Avi]

Saulin stared at him.
You're funny.
The snake-bird-thing moved a bit closer, tilting his head slightly as he looked Demitri in the eyes.
Era, finished with unpacking her clothes, turned to see who had talked to her before opening another bag.

[Amaranth]

"Thank you," Demitri replied solemnly, extending his hand for the snake to sniff-taste. "You are very cute."

[Avi]

No, I'm not. I'm Saulin.
The tongue flicked out, tasting the air for Demitri, and the head lowered itself a little bit.
Now Era was pulling out some equipment. Not all of what she had, and they looked quite foreign.

[Amaranth]

"Oh, nice to meet you, Saulin." Demitri looked up at Era. "Where did you find him? And do you need help with putting any of that away?"

[Avi]

"I didn't find him. And, no."
She finished setting up more of her technology, of which means were unknown to anyone except her and possibly Eris.
Saulin was happy.
